  • I Knew Guitar Hero Would Be Back
Platform For Display: PlayStation 3 Edition: Guitar Bundle
The new design of the guitar is great, easier to play.3 on top, 3 on bottom although buttons could be slightly larger and whammy bar is in a bad spot.. Tend to hit pause or the guide button. The game is great. You can play in Live mode so it's FP view and crows reacts to how you play as we as bandages. The TV mode you play channels or music and the music video is in background. There is leveling up, different game cards plus highways as well as leveling up guitar. All kinds of power UPS and on the channels you are competing against other players with scoring but not interacting. Songs are modern although after a month, we need some new songs. You earn plays, then buy with coins you earn from game. GH premium is the only spending cash to get Hero Cash. As a Guitar Hero since the start and never quit, I am quite pleased with this game as long as keep adding new songs. ... show more

  • Horrible Lag
Platform For Display: PlayStation 3 Edition: Guitar Bundle
I was so excited for this game to come out. It is terrible. I don't like the new 2 up guitar system at all. I played expert on the old style and even that was easier than this. Add the HUGE lag and it is almost impossible to play. Unless of course you want to do the strum only mode. The next mode uses only the bottom part of the 2 up. The "regular" mode does 1st and 2nd level and bar chords. It is a 100x harder than the level before it. When you hit the notes a blue spark shoots out. Makes the fret board hard to see. In addition, the fret board is see through. Those nifty videos that play in the background can be seen through the board. Between the sparks and video it can become a blur when the notes are close together. I played the first night for about 30 minutes That is all I could handle. One, my hand/wrist was cramping. The new guitar is awkward and you have to keep your wrist bent at a 90º angle at all times in order to reach the 1st and 2nd tiers. Two, again I want to stress the lag. Lag, sparks, see through fret board. You get the picture. Second night I thought I would give it another shot. No better than the first night. I just don't like it. There are a lot of kinks to work out. It could almost be good. The plethora of songs and the fact that they keep adding more is a bonus. If you can adjust to the guitar and the lag you might like it. Needless to say, mine is boxed up and going back. Might be for some, but not for me. And I don't see that lag going away any time soon. ... show more

  • Great way to pass time
Platform For Display: PlayStation 3 Edition: Guitar Bundle
The graphics were wonderful. I have spent quite a few hours playing at first and then it became a great way to pass the time for a bit. The songs were beautiful and I'm really glad I had to opportunity to buy and play. Guitar Hero has definitely come a long way. I remember playing the demo of the earlier games when I was a teenager at the electronics store. ... show more

Platform For Display: PlayStation 3 Edition: Guitar Bundle
Have been wanting to buy guitar hero for the LONGEST time and thank god I waited. Now its not only the cheapest its ever been but the GuitarHero TV lets me play along to any song that I want! Also graphics for live is A+ and the new guitar/keys are a bit more realistic to real guitar playing.

  • Not too bad but controllers wont work with older GH games
Platform For Display: PlayStation 3 Edition: Guitar Bundle
This game is pretty fun but you start out with some really crappy songs. Also the guitar and controls are completely different than the old guitar hero games. Sucks because you can't use the guitar controller with older gh games and you have to get used to a new and much more difficult way to finger your buttons. ... show more

  • Hate the guitar!
Platform For Display: PlayStation 3 Edition: Guitar Bundle
It's an ok game, haven't gotten to play too much. 3 stars because the guitar is really annoying. Cheap plastic on plastic clicking noises drive me nuts whenever you "strum" or hit any of the "frets". Unless you absolutely crank up the stereo, the noise of the guitar stands out more than the music. Would've given 3 or 4 stars, but the guitar knocks it down a few pegs. ... show more
