These trunks are great! They are sturdy, the lids are very secure, and they are spacious. I purchased my first one for my hunting gear and immediately wanted a second for my camping gear. I will be buying more as I need one for my fishing gear, and at least one more for my hunting gear. I like the fact that I can keep everything in one place, and secure, and just throw it into my truck when I am ready for whatever adventure I am embarking on. Currently, my camping trunk holds my cold weather and warm weather sleeping back, my ruck (150 liters), tent with all accy's, iso mat, GPS, sterno, and other pertinent gear with room to spare. My hunting trunk holds my magazines, cleaning gear, range finder, calls, ammo, cammies, shooting bag and sticks, binos, and even some of my fly fishing gear...with room to spare. These are a great option if you are a gear person. If you are like me, you take on a hobby and you get INVOLVED. When I ordered this I wasn't expecting much I thought it was an over glorified storage tub but I bought it just to try it and it has exceeded expectations (be it my expectations were low). First of the lid is not cheap flimsy plastic it is thick molded polymer that feels like the same plastics Magpul uses on the Pmags. Second it holds a lot I don't have very much storage room as I live in a small apartment but this tub held a two man tent a fully filled bug out bag a hammock five MRE's a Coleman quick pack lantern a grill and a sleeping bag as well as all my hunting clothes. Lastly it is fairly water proof on its own the four latches holds the lid securely to the tub pair it with a thin bit of water proof weather tripping and you have an air tight container. would recommend I see they make smaller tubs so I may try those for ammo storage. ... show more

[UPDATE 3/25/2022] As mentioned, I do like these crates, but I did have one shatter...Well, it had been a couple months and I hadn't heard from Plano despite several attempts...but I ended up buying 2 more crates. AND, to my surprise when they were delivered today, there was a third direct from Plano! --- Plano actually sent me another crate to replace the one that shattered back in January! So...better late then never on the Customer Support --- so I have changed my review from 1 star to 5. [ORIGINAL REVIEW 1/19/2022] Bought 2 Plano Trunks. At first, quite happy with them - the 2 trunks fit perfectly in our SUV with all our gear and 2 suitcases, making travel very easy. However, while unpacking from a trip, my husband tripped and stumbled with one crate in the driveway. When the crate hit the pavement, it literally shattered like glass - some pieces flew off over 30 feet away. My husband didn't even drop it hard...it just fell from his grip as he stumbled. I contacted Plano via online form and phone several times to see if I could get a replacement or if there was a warranty and they never responded. NOT IMPRESSED. BUYER BEWARE. ... show more
