Features

  • Power - 5000 Max x 1 @ 1 Ohm, 2500 Max x 1 @2 Ohms, 1250 Max x 1 @ 4 Ohms, 10,000 x 1 @2 Ohms Strapped
  • Class D - Power loss is significantly reduced making the amplifier highly efficient. Excess energy is stored until its needed instead of being converted into heat. Reduction in size/weight, reduced power waste, smaller heat sink, compact circuitry
  • MOSFET Power Supply - A MOSFET is an electrical switch that allows the flow of electrical current. It controls the output voltage and current precisely by removing the output current sensing loss & eliminating all secondary feedback circuitry
  • 1 Ohm Stable - Able to continuously power loads of 1 Ohm without encountering difficulties such as overheating. Typically made to power up subwoofers that demand the heavier power load requirements to be able to perform the way they were made to
  • Strapping Capable - You are able to strap two TR5000.1D amplifiers and double the power that is being sent to your subwoofer(s). You now have the ability to connect more subwoofers to take advantage of the extra power
  • Phase Control - Phase control lets you adjust the speaker phase with the amplifier if your speakers or subwoofer are hooked up out of phase
  • Variable Subsonic Filter - To prevent your subwoofer(s) from bottoming out, the variable subsonic filter filters out frequencies below the subwoofer(s) specified low frequency limits and allows the driver to reach a maximum safe excursion
  • Specs - Dimensions: 18.5 x 9.5 x 2.13, Weight: 13.49 lbs., Speaker Impedance: 1 to 8 Ohm, THD @ RMS Output: 0.01%, S/N Ratio: 105 dB, Frequency Response: 20 Hz to 250 Hz, Fuse Quantity: 1 200 Amp ANL

Frequently asked questions

The term '1 Ohm stable' in the context of the Planet Audio TR5000.1D amplifier means that it can safely operate at 1 Ohm impedance. This is beneficial for users looking to power subwoofers that demand high power at low impedance, leading to more efficient power usage and better sound output without risking damage to the amplifier.

Yes, the Planet Audio TR5000.1D can be used for multiple subwoofers, given its high power output of 5000 Watts. It's capable of driving several subs as long as the overall impedance load is within the amplifier’s stable range, which is 1 Ohm in this case. Wiring your subwoofers correctly to match the amplifier's load requirements is crucial.

The MOSFET power supply in the Planet Audio TR5000.1D amplifier offers several advantages, including improved efficiency, reliability, and thermal stability. MOSFETs are known for their fast switching speed and efficiency at higher currents and voltages, which helps in delivering cleaner and more stable power to your subwoofers, leading to better sound quality.

While the Planet Audio TR5000.1D is designed with user-friendly interfaces, its high power output and technical requirements for 1 Ohm stability might pose a challenge for individuals unfamiliar with car audio installations. It's recommended to have a basic understanding of car audio systems or consult with a professional for installation to ensure optimal performance and safety.

  • You probably won't find a better 1500 mono for under 100
Style: 1500 Watts Monoblock Pattern Name: Car Amplifier
Had it for almost 2 years now still works fine, it's not an actual 1500 watts, that must be a mathematical equivalent with the bass boost turned up and the input level switch turned to under 2 volt running 2 ohm. Great controls for low priced amp on panel, good working built-in crossover, remote gain, it'd beats so good for an amp under a hundred dollars, people think I got 500 to $800 in the boom, nope about 200 ! I got it on two Jensen 12s that came from Walshart damn good speakers can't be beat for only 35$ each, it works with my 10-year-old pioneer head unit good and the amp hardly draws over 20 amps on the power. I have an 02 Nissan Xterra with only a little 80 amp alternator got a big zero gauge wire feeding it doesn't even try to dim the lights or interfere if anything else on the vehicle, the Jensen's at first did have some bad mid-riange resonation, despite crossover turned all the way to lowest HZ, I took care of it with polyfill my sealed box is not separated, it's a $20 used MTX Terminator box, even sitting with the vehicle off in the summer I could barely feel the amp get warm, only problem is I struck my positive screw is not real high quality metal on the threading, so I rethreaded it with a tap and used a fatter screw ! Well enough to get attention but not so overpowering til it's annoying. So if you ever wanted you some bass and some boom boom in your ride but are the kind of person you would not fork out hundreds or thousands of dollars especially on something you may not be totally sure of, this is your AMP ! I TAKE PRIDE IN IT THAT I CANNOT POSSIBLY FIND A BETTER AMP FOR ABOUT 90 BUCKS !!! It will also run up to 18 volts off of a farad ! Although it's a class AB amp it is easy on the battery also. Thanks for producing such an amazing product for such a low price planet audio you rock or I mean you boom boom ! 🤗 ... show more

  • Super value for money!!
Style: 4000 Watt Monoblock Pattern Name: Car Amplifier
This amp was first selling for almost 300 hundred dollars. Now it sells for around 120.00. This amp is huge in dollar for watt/Quality value. I hoocked it up to two 10's, one a Planet audio, Other a sony xplod. I have the amp turned up not even half ways as im afraid to blow the speakers!! yes it's powerfull. I am not a sound tech guy but when you hook an amp up and it is giving crisp clean sound, I am a happy camper. The adjustment's are plenty and will give you the sound your looking for i feel. Make sure you pair this amp with decent Radio/deck to make sure you have overall good sound to go with the great bass :) Now i dont think this amp is putting out 4000 watts but im sure it is at least giving 1500 and that is super awesome for a hundred dollars in my book. 120 x 10 equals 1200 so 120 total fuze rating 40/40/40 x 10 1200 so around what i am thinking in real raw power. Oh and this thing is a beast with power as my headlights are dimming when i listen to a rap song lol! So i need one of those things to fix that issue lol ... show more

  • Poor q.c. Out of the box I heard rattling. Took it apart and found a loose screw…
Style: 4000 Watt Monoblock Pattern Name: Car Amplifier
Setup: TR 4000.1D running T2S1-13 with 300 amp alternator. 2003 Ford F-350 6.0 Positives: Puts out high power for price point. Looks clean Sturdy build quality Simple setup Negatives: Quality control seems meh, had a loose screw inside the amp… Doesn’t seem to accept anything more than 4 awg wire. 12v or ground wire. Connection points 12v and ground seem sorta difficult to attach solidly. Seems to get hot under heavy loads ... show more

  • Performance far exceeds price. Consistent output without failing.
Style: 3000 Watt Monoblock Pattern Name: Car Amplifier
Bought this Amp for my dual 12" Kicker Solobaric L7's in 2020. Two years later the amp still pushes the subs as hard as day 1. Drove 1,600 miles only stopping for gas with the stereo blaring for 90% of the trip and the amp never let up nor did it even feel warmer than the inside of the vehicle. I have never turned both bass knobs to 100% at the same time, but the amp is at aprox 90% up and has never failed. Absolutely love it and couldn't be more happy/impressed. ... show more

  • I would pass
Style: 5000 Watt Monoblock Pattern Name: Car Amplifier
I bought this amp because I had another planet audio monoblock 4k unit for many years in Arizona, and it worked great. I listen to all kinds of music, every day of my life, so sound quality is important. I've had Kenwood, Rockford, kicker, planet audio, JBL, etc etc over the years in a slew of different vehicles. Sometimes expensive doesn't mean sound quality. I bought this unit and it didn't make it 90 days. It worked great for about a week after some tuning, I then noticed the fan inside the amp on during a cold start in the winter, the fan ran constantly. I was out of the return window from Amazon which sucks, so I just lived with it, but then the amp started to cut out. I checked power, grounds, fuse was great, I Uninstalled it, reinstalled it, and nothing. Totally dead. It powers on, and the little planet audio logo lights up but the unit doesn't power anything. I may still have manufacturer warranty, but pretty disappointed. I would suggest buying a more "name brand" and maybe from a vendor that has a larger return window just in case. Fyi this was powering 2 10" shallow mount kicker RT's, with a 400 watt rms each which I also purchased off Amazon. ... show more
