  • Wish I'd bought this sooner.
Style: Gemini
I have been using Sizzix machines for many years. After spending an afternoon cutting out multiple A2 size panels, I thought about looking at machines that do the hard work instead of me having to do it. My number one positive comment is that this machine cut an intricate word die perfectly in one pass. No bits left behind for me to poke out or having to run it through again because the pressure was uneven the first time and didn't cut correctly. I will still use my Sizzix machines but for intricate dies, I will be using the Gemini. ... show more

  • Great little machine for traveling.
Style: Gemini Go
It takes a bit to learn how to use (only because I have other machines) and it is a little different in how you layer the dies. But it is a little work horse right out of box. I used it for an 8 hour crop at my favorite store.

  • I read the reviews before buying and was concerned about the plastic plates.
Style: Gemini Junior
Because this machine has the same pressure over the whole plate put your die all over the plate, not just in the center. I just tried it, that was plus flipping the plate and after 15 run through for cuts it is in really good shape. My only wish is that the magnet plate was thicker, if you used the magnet plate as the bottom plate, then the plastic shim (self healing), then your card stock, then the die cut and finally the plastic plate. That would solve the problem of putting the die in the right place if you are cutting out preprinted saying. I think I will enjoy using this, I seem to do a lot of die cutting lately. ... show more

  • Cutting intricate dies
Style: Gemini
The machine does cut wonderfully... however, after a few passthroughs it started to bow. I have placed it on a level surface, I flipped the plates each pass through the machine. I love the magnet plate but so hard to place die to stay in place when it is bowed.. Help.. I would also like to add that I have been unable to access the website to register my machine ... show more

  • Super Excited to Try it, Super Bummed with Results
Style: Gemini II Machine
Gemini II Eletric Die Cutting & Embossing QUICK REVIEW [TL;DR] The Gemini 2 is a well-constructed, sturdy machine, but applies too much pressure on materials. It would benefit from rewriting the instruction manual. Probably it will go back in the box, unused. REVIEW: I was very excited to try this machine, so it was disappointing that the first one I received did not work (DOA). Amazon was quick to send a replacement, and I was good to go. I really wanted to like this machine. It is very sturdy, heavy and cleverly designed. I like the thoughtful touches such as channel to rest your phone/tablet on while using the machine, as well as the storage compartments conveniently built into the wings. The issue I had was that even though I followed the instruction booklet to use the correct plates and shims for an embossing folder the machine applied so much pressure. It dented the magnetic shim, and it actually crushed the edge of the paper. I had better results when I played around and created my own sandwich of plates/ shims. The same thing happened using a die. Again, I used the recommended arrangement of plates and shims but the machine applied too much pressure and cut the die pattern deeply into the plastic plate. There is not a way to adjust the pressure beyond tweaking the order and number of plates used. The machine also made some very alarming crunching and crackling noises while the plates were going through the machine. RECOMMENDATION: I would not recommend this product ... show more

  • Best Crafting Investment Ever Made
Style: Gemini
I debated about purchasing a die cutting machine that did not require me to manually move the dies for a couple of years. It was only after a bout of arthritis after a small batch of die cutting that I decided to get serious and take the plunge. I did a lot of research - there are quite a few machines after all. When I looked at the Gemini, I took the time to check reviews and user guides over on YouTube. I strongly urge anyone who is contemplating this machine to go over to Jennifer McGuire Ink and search out the two videos she has done on the cutting plates. Check out Crafter's Companion's videos on the machine as well. You won't be sorry. The machine is sturdy - and heavy. It is easy to use and cuts like a dream. I've owned several very intricate dies that never really worked well in my manual machines. They cut like butter in the Gemini. Yes, the plates make noise and they bow. They are supposed to. When you consider the immense amount of pressure the machines generate, it would be silly to think that there would be no impact to the plates. My current solution is to put the plates under the machine once I've completed my cutting. It flattens them for the next session. And, yes, I know I will be purchasing more plates. So far I've been pleased at the results and am looking forward to being able to use my dies to make cards. I think if you are looking for a solid tool that should last a long time, this machine is the one to check out. ... show more

  • Powerful junior die cutting machine
Style: Gemini Junior
I am impressed with the powerful cutting ability of this junior machine. I also very much appreciate the capability of the machine to accept larger size die cuts so I can expand my card making collection without needing to advance to the more expensive machines. The only disappointment would be the warping and markings of the plates almost immediately upon first use. The clear, steel and magnetic plates just seem to need to be updated to a better quality. I accessed youtube for help with the warping issues and found some help. I still gave a 5 star review because I can develop my card making craft with a machine more affordable in my price range and be very happy with the results. ... show more

I love this! I wish I had started with this. I put off getting it for awhile but it’s just so nice not having to crank my spellbinders machine.
