This works well for use in my Ouni Kara 12g. I have mainly used wood sticks. These are a good size. I just put a few fire starter blocks on the tray bottom and then load the sticks up and away it goes. I just add few at a time after the fire is going to help maintain the heat level.

Admittedly, at around $49 for a box of wood, this is expensive. However it's perfectly sized, kiln dried and items this heavy are expensive to ship so I get it. I got Cherry and have had one fire so far in my Solo Mesa, and it was a real treat to drop these pre-cut pieces in. Cherry smells incredible when burning and emits a beautiful flame. The media could not be loaded. A great value for my money. This firewood burns so long and hot. It kept my pizza oven a consistent temperature throughout the cook. We had delicious pizzas, my family was incredibly happy. Plus, the wood fired flavor was out of this world. Highly recommend.
