I have to admit that I initially purchased these for my Cricut Vinyl Rolls and not shoes. Someone in our crafting group had recommended these for organization and they were right; the vinyl rolls fit perfectly inside. That said, once I saw them constructed, I tried them for my shoes. They are great at the top of my closet where I store my "occasional" shoes. Construction can be challenging at first but once you figure it out, it's simple. It took me about 2 boxes before I got the hang of it but after that, they went together easily. I highly recommend watching the video in the description as it is quite helpful. My only complaint (which really isn't a complaint but more of an improvement suggestion) is that I wish they locked together a bit better when stacked. However, it's still better than using just plain shoeboxes that don't lock together at all. And if I'm being honest, I do like that they can be dismantled easily without cracking the plastic if I should decide to change the setup. If you're into organization at all then these are for you!! They look a million times better than a shoe rack and just make the space look organized. I would've given 5 starts but there were a few things. 1. The doors on these while functional aren't the sturdiest things so gotta be careful opening and closing them - is imagine small kids would break them pretty fast if you have them out in the open. 2. One of the doors was already broken. They have these little pegs they're clipped to and one of the pegs was broken from the side - a little super glue and it seems fine. 3. One of the back pieces were already cracked. 4. Men shoes are a much tighter fit than kids/women. I wear a size 8 and my husband wears a size 11. I thought he’s weren’t gonna fit and some of them barley do. However for my shoes I’ve been able to fit two pairs into most of them. 5. Not as clear to see what’s in the box when put into an ill lit area like a closet. The packaging could've been done to protect these a little more since they’re just thin plastic. All in all I think these are worth the money and none of the things listed above would keep me from buying again. ... show more

1st, you get what you pay for, and I vacillated between the flimsy plastic or the hard plastic shoe storage boxes. In the end I chose the cheaper version, and for now, I don't regret it at all. The plastic boxes are surprisingly just sturdy enough to hold my size 7.5 (women)/6 (men) shoes. They were absolutely easy to put together. No issues there. I even dropped a couple on accident, and they did not break apart. What I don't like is the "stacking" tabs...these boxes are not stablized when stacked. I know I will have to make some modifications to ensure they don't move when I remove a pair of shoes, but I should not have to. If you are going to claim they are stackable, then ensure they can be stacked without moving when in use. The smallest box size does fit my shoes (mostly Nikes & Skechers)...once in...but getting them in and out? A bit of a struggle, and once again, because the stacking mechanism IS NOT sturdy, the boxes move...a lot. I can fit a couple pairs of my keds and flats in each box, so that is a plus. Again, you get what you pay for. These are not bad boxes. I read a lot of reviews so I knew what I was potentially getting. It serves its purpose. My shoes are not for display, but to condense space, so only time, and possibly further frustrations, will determine if these storage boxes are actually worth the cheaper price. Product arrived on time, claen and as described. Tricky to put together at first, but once I got the hang of it the assembly was easy. Multiple skeins of yarn fit perfect in each box. A tad flimsy but on sale it's a good value for the money. Material is molded plastic.
