First a little backstory. Last year (according to my Orkin guy) a truckload of elms infested with tiny elm beetles passed through our region. While the trees moved on, the beetles moved in. Our area has been inundated with with tiny little nasties for the last two summers. They collect on your windows and enter into your rooms through gaps in the screens. And. I. Hate. Them!!!!! At the start of the season I was killing at least 70 bugs just before bed, closing my window (no AC either...), and mummifying myself in a sheet until daylight. A few nights I was up until 4 in the morning with a squirt bottle of rubbing alcohol (a precious commodity these days, but the only thing I knew that would kill them), blasting them off the window, curtains, walls, ceiling, light fixtures myself, and the bed. I was losing my mind. Then, I had a revelation one day and remembered the bug nets that people put over their beds in other countries where mosquitoes are prevalent. I found this net canopy (I had to go with the glowie stars because who wouldn't?!) and it has been a godsend! It fits over my entire queen-sized bed, and flows down to the floor. I had to make myself a make-shift head board because it did drape over our faces the first night, but it was easy to just push it behind a piece of fabric covered cardboard to angle the curtain as we wanted it. The opening overlaps to keep the bugs out, and, best of all, it works! The beetles (and other bugs, though the netting is wide enough for some small gnat sized critters, but I am talking bugs the size of the pin head)) can't get on my bed and I have finally felt comfortable leaving the window open and falling asleep. The glowing stars are actually very calming and fun to look at. I bought this canopy a least a month ago and the stars are still glowing and have not peeled off. Overall, I am ecstatic with this product. It has so many possible uses, functional and decorative. Some other uses could be fore keeping bugs out while camping, dorm room decor, kids rooms for sure, or even as a romantic bed draping or wedding decor. But, if you are having bug problems, get it! ... show more

This is a favorite at our house: we put it over a canopy bed. If you have a fan running in the room the netting will move around, creating an actual starry sky illusion bc it looks like the stars are twinkling.

Love it. Haven’t properly hung it up yet but it comes with the things you need to hang it. I temporarily used tacs just to see if I liked how it looked or not. I didn’t realize it had glow in the dark stars attached to it. Doesn’t really match the theme I’ve got going in the nursery but it’s fine. I tried to tear them off but realized it would’ve taken me hours. The stars are on there good in case you were worried about them falling off or anything. 10/10 would buy again. ... show more

I bought this under the guise of making my bed like a princess bed for my wee granddaughter when she comes for sleepovers. She loved it. But I have to say I absolutely love it too LOL There is a lot of material and great coverage ( the picture shows it pulled back), it even has a little hook to hang it. Best of all are the glow in the dark stars. I wake up in the middle of the night a lot and there are literally little glowing stars all around. Yes, I'm a big kid. I recommend this for any wannabe princesses or Arabian Queen out there LOL. It is well worth the money. Oh yes, and it is fire retardant (haven't tried but it says so LOL) and a mosquito net, so practical too. ... show more

It was easy to hang and super cute but after bumping it a few times the hanging part at the top ripped off and because it’s a net material it couldn’t be reattached.
