  • In a Sea of Generic Amazon pickleball paddles...this one is a Winner
Style: Pickleball
I started playing Pickleball about 5 months ago and don't have a ton of court time yet. However, I do have 30 years of tennis experience and I have a very good understanding of attributes that make for a good racquet. I've picked up the game pretty easily and play with 3.5 players w/o much difficulty...tennis players can make the switch to pickleball pretty easily. I do have a tennis mindset and I wanted a paddle that would allow me to hit big topspin and backspin so I could shape my shots. I tried a couple different Amazon / Generic paddles and even bought a Wilson Juice paddle from a local sporting goods store. Then I tried this CZZR paddle (is that even a real company??). Wow. Now this paddle may be a ripoff of another well known brand (it sort of looks like one) and the price is a bit steep. But this one really delivers. SOUND This paddle is noticeably quieter than other paddles I've tried, including the Wilson one. SWEET SPOT This paddle is a bit elongated and the sweet spot is higher on the paddle. This suits me as a former tennis player. It's quite large and you can really feel it. HANDLE Elongated handle that feels like a tennis racquet, this also suits me. Feels really good. SURFACE Nice rough surface. I felt like I could generate a lot of topspin with this paddle and the amount of backspin was also really good. If you're looking for spin generation, I think this one delivers. CONSTRUCTION Time will tell how well it's made but it feels and looks like good quality. I'm cautiously optimistic. So after trying four different Amazon paddles (including one that I bought myself and not a Vine item) and a Wilson Juice (also bought that one myself), this generic one is the hands down winner for me. I played today and it really delivered what I was looking for in a paddle. VERDICT? Do you want to spend $90 on a generic Amazon paddle? Normally I'd say no but not in this case. Now, I hope this paddle doesn't make me a liar and it falls apart after a month or two but for now I think this one actually delivers. I absolutely loved it on the court today and if it fails at some point...yeah, I think I'll actually shell out the money for another one and not just the Vine freebie. I definitely can recommend this one if you're after high spin and understand how to generate it via a tennis stroke technique. ... show more

  • Good paddle for the price
Style: Pickleball
I tried several more affordable RCF paddles recently, and found this one to be a good option. I would definitely consider it more of a control than power paddle. It had a fair amount of surface texture and thus was able to impart some good spin. Most notable was that it has a softer surface than other paddles I've tried. I found this a good trait for slowing balls down and not having driven balls rebound as wildly when being defensive. I had to put a little more into harder hits than with other paddles (not an issue for me, a "bigger guy"). It also didn't seem quite as loud when hitting the ball (kind of nice) - maybe another indicator of a softer paddle surface. Unless you just really want a lot of power this racket may be a good choice. ... show more

  • surprising pop
Style: Pickleball
This paddle had a surprisingly strong pop to it. When I tested this out last night, I started out with dinks, and it was just average. Then I went to spins, and I was a tad disappointed at the lack of spin relative to great spin paddles. But where I was pleasantly surprised was how poppy it was and the ball exploded off the paddle. So this is a paddle more for bangers than for precision control players. The materials on this paddle are great. The grip will lead you to think that this is a high end paddle. ... show more

  • $90 for an elongated raw CFS is a nearly irresistible deal...[SEE UPDATE!!]
Style: Pickleball
UPDATE: This paddle continues to impress me and I came back in, to add a 5th star, but while here, I noticed I'm currently being offered an additional discount with an Amazon coupon!!! At THIS POINT and PRICE, this HAS BECOME an all out irresistible 5 star recommended paddle, and I hope the other reviewer saying they'd be back for more will see the lowered price to take advantage while it's here! Original review: But I'm currently seeing a CRAZY GOOD coupon alongside this specific paddle, making it at the price point of smooth/painted, econo level "carbon fiber" paddles. IF I knew that would be the price offered to everyone at the time of reading this, I'd ABSOLUTELY suggest ya buy it immediately! It hits as well as many other raw CFS paddles I own, and is currently cheaper than them all. I just started playing a couple of months ago, but as an avid racquetball player, and now a "banger" in PB, I'm already a 4-4.5 level player, using similar paddles in the $150 price range. I feel I could play with this quite similarly to the others....so especially if on a budget, this paddle should be STRONGLY CONSIDERED, with no likelihood of buyer's remorse ... show more

  • Great looks, feel and value
Style: Pickleball
This is a really nice paddle for the money. First of all, this thing looks strictly business with it's all black, carbon fiber design.......No silly graphics on this paddle. Overall build quality appears to be excellent. The grip is well executed, tacky, and feels good in the hand. I find that the paddle has a generous sweet spot and a really nice, soft, forgiving feel when rebounding the ball......it instills confidence. I also love that it comes with a really nice neoprene zip cover.....I wish more manufacturers would provide this. Overall, I think this paddle nails a sweet spot between value and performance. ... show more

  • Newbie Approved!
Style: Pickleball
I’m new to pickleball. My friends let me try some of the cheaper paddles and I thought it was time to get my own. So far, there are no dead spots on the paddle! Nice strong paddle with a thick handle. I’m able to get a nice grip on it without dropping it. Although, it’s slightly louder than I am use to but hits consistently. Looks and feels like the expensive paddles I’ve seen. Would highly suggest for the price! ... show more

  • High Grit, Raw Carbon Fiber Paddle
Style: Pickleball
If you're searching for a high grit, high performance raw fiber paddle that is priced under $100, this one is a great option. Fun to play with, feels really good in your hand, the ball response off the face is excellent, and the overall quality is high. Honestly, not sure you'd get more from a paddle in the $150-200 range. ... show more
