I’m in my third trimester and had accepted I’d just never get a full night’s sleep again. I grabbed this pillow on a lightning deal and it is the best purchase I have ever made. I’m finally sleeping over 5 hours at a time and have felt my waking energy & focus change significantly as a result. The pillow gets 24/7 use with my kitten keeping it warm when I’m out of bed. As a non-pregnant woman, I bought this in seek of pain relief from back and hip pain, as well as something to keep my thighs from rubbing while I sleep (gotta love chub rub). I’ve had this pillow for a couple months now and I refuse to sleep without it. It’s decent support and being 5’9, it seems to be plenty long enough to reach my head as a pillow.     • The Pillow Takes 48 Hours To Inflate Itself

I bought this pillow because I needed surgery imminently and was then required to sleep on my back. Typically, I spend these hours on my side, which would have been a debacle given the nature of my operation. As promised it arrived on Monday, the day of my ambulatory surgery, but it was quite flat and the instructions revealed that it takes up to 48 hours to sufficiently (somehow) inflate itself. This presented an enormous quandary for me. Since not everyone buys this item for pregnancy, the description should include this vital information. Two nights after its arrival and my operation, I was able to use it and, thankfully, it kept me on my back and continues to do so until this recovery period is over. ... show more

I only have it four stars because I hated it. BUT someone else might love it. I used one of these with my first pregnancy but for whatever reason don't like it this time. I have neck issues, so this hurts my neck when sleeping and it is SO big my husband hates it when we sleep. It inevitably moves when I move during sleep and causes a raucous. My toddler loves it though, so we kept it and it is currently being used as her fort/tunnel/movie watching "chair". So I guess if you are creative and it doesn't work for you, there's another idea if you don't want to return! ... show more

    • Slippery-- best if you don't sleep close to the edge of the bed

This is a great, basic body pillow, for the price. The removable cover is good quality, and not as hot as some. However, it is very slippery, and the pillow is somewhat unstructured, so if you don't have a ton of room in the bed, part of the pillow will slip off the side in the night, every time. I stopped using it close to the 3rd trimester, because I had gotten big enough, there's just not room to put to far enough from the edge. It also doesn't support the front of your belly. After reading reviews, I wasn't entirely sold on it, especially when it comes to pregnancy back support as I have trouble staying on my sides and pillows weren't cutting it. I find it extremely comfortable through the night, and instead of waking up 8-10 times to readjust, it's just the normal 3 or 4 to pee. I will say it is super unwieldy and can be tough to untangle from in the middle of the night, but I would say if you're careful, you won't get caught or fall, like someone else reviewed, though I can see how it is possible. As a woman who is 5'3" the entire C shape can curl around my body and overlap a tad. Overall, I really love it and it fits comfortably in out queen size bed. If you're sleeping on a full it may be a bit tight with a partner. As for pain relief, I haven't had much experience with that, as it isn't something I'm struggling with at this stage overnight. This pillow is a game changer. I didn’t think I needed a pregnancy pillow but this makes my back and stomach feel much better when I wake up in the morning. The only reason it gets 4 stars is because if you ever take the cover off to wash it, it is definitely a 2 person job to pt it back on and the zipper is SUPER cheap so it’s only a matter of time before it breaks and I’ll have to buy a new pillow case ... show more
