I am very pleased with the quality and realistic appearance with these gas logs. They arrived in excellent condition with one small chip to a log, which does not detract. The logs were easy to install. I just stacked them up in a pleasing arrangement and adjusted their positions to allow the flames to come up through them evenly.     • it's important to know that I have not yet lit a fire with these new logs.
The logs arrived without damage, they are sturdy and of a good color and weight. I have only recently received these and it is still 80 degrees outside so I have not had an opportunity to test how they work in my gas fireplace. They look great. This request for a rating is a bit soon. if you would like to check with me later perhaps, I could then rate their performance. My rating of a 5 star is based on the look and feel of the logs and the condition they have arrived in. ... show more

    • Good Product and Great Value
I like their color, texture, and price. Had a gas fire/log set, but the logs were old and crumbling and long overdue for replacement. This set looks great, but I didn't follow the instructions for arranging the logs. I found that with the two big logs on the bottom, as shown, the flames and embers were being hidden and little heat was being sent out into the room. I set them up with the two big logs on top of each other at the back of the fireplace, smaller on top, directing the flames forward. The four small logs can then be arranged in front of the big logs, in a double "V" arrangement. The provides worked better for me, but it depends on the height of the grate, and where the gas jets are located (in my fireplace they were closer to the back of the grate, and were not movable). ... show more

    • Almost returned the logs!
I went through all the reviews before I bought this product because I do know how it really works and make it look like the picture. I was excited when it arrived 2 days after I ordered even if I used standard shipping. I assembled it right away which was easy, although very heavy, it will help to use gloves to arranged the logs on your fireplace grate. At first I was disappointed because it didn't look like the picture at all. The flame looks uniformed and does not go through the logs. I set it aside thinking I have to return. When the lava rock and the glowing embers arrived I was hesitant to open the bag because I wasn't sure it will work. I actually tried to return all of it but then I have to pay for the return shipping so I called to cancel the return and try it with the lava rock and the embers. I'm so happy I did because it made the flame disperse and not look uniformed. It looks just like the product picture!!! I am soooo happy I tried, it looks amazing!!! ... show more

    • Very fragile
The post oak logs are dark and all one color. Makes them kind of hard to see. They are extremely fragile. My long log already has a crack all the way through one end. For price I expected better. To clarify, the log wasn’t dropped or rough handled. The log cracked simply from the heat of being burned. Disappointing. For the price of thses log sets, I can’t afford to replace the log. It still works fine and still provides the desired ambience at the holidays. ... show more

    • we are happy with the results even though we couldn't use them ...
These are gorgeous logs. Top quality and exactly as described. However, we did not realize that our own fireplace logs are not removable and these logs, as a complete set, did not work for us. Since returning them involved a ridiculously high shipping cost on our end ($80), we decided to keep them. The manufacturer was as helpful as they could be and, to be fair, did offer to forego the 25% restocking fee but not the shipping. We would have had to pay the shipping to us and the return to them which is nearly as much as the entire cost of the logs! That is completely understandable on their part. Anyway, we decided to use a few of the smaller logs to enhance our existing display and we ended up with the look we were going for. So, all in all, it's a win. We did consider buying some individual logs to enhance our display but it would have cost us nearly $100 just for 2-3 logs. So, we are happy with the results even though we couldn't use them all. ... show more

Logs look fantastic. I actually didn't use them all on my 32 in wide fireplace (24 in wide at back of fire box). Definitely recommend. The logs were delivered in perfect shape and are very realistic. I slightly modified the layout of the logs to create a larger gap between the front and back logs to push the heat out instead of behind the back log. I did this by putting the bigger log in the back of the firebox and the smaller (of the 2 big logs) in the front. I then place three of the remaining four logs on top of the two larger base logs. ... show more

    • Measure your fireplace first!
Measure before you buy! We have a decent size fireplace and still couldn't fit all the logs in the way the instructions specify. Now the logs have big black marks, it could be because we positioned them wrong. No way to know if it would have happened either way. They do look really nice and realistic before they get burned! ... show more
