  • They are working well and we are pleased. If there is an issue for us
Size: Large Color: Natural
We bought the bands for our 12-year old Boxer (Butch), who can't bend his back legs and has lost control of his bladder. They are working well and we are pleased. If there is an issue for us, it is the size. When I ordered I didn't see XL so I bought L. They fit, but just barely. That said, I'm kind of afraid an XL will allow gaps. The only other issue I have faced is that on occasion, when he wakes from sleeping and I take them off so he can go outside, the urine is literally puddled and will spill if I don't hold both sides. I am wondering if the elastic is positioned so that it is blocking flow because it doesn't happen every time. But overall, the product is saving us loads of time and I think Butch is more comfortable too because he literally comes to me and stands very still to get his Belly Band before he lies down. They are extending the time we have with him, and since he helped us raise two kids, two kittens, and two puppies, we want to keep him comfortable and maintain his dignity for as long as possible...We love him! So Thank You! ... show more

  • Double doggies decided to start marking
Size: Large Color: Gentlemen
I love my dogs, but I hate that they have recently started marking my house. I've had them for 7.5 years since they were 6 months old) and they were neutered when I got them. They are male schnoodles who weigh 22 and 25 pounds each. Within the past year, they've started peeing, and I can't seem to figure out why. I decided to screw the "why" in the equation and just put a bandaid on the problem.... hence these diapers. For starters, I ordered the large. Rufus can attach the Velcro fully; Jonesy - who is a tad "bigger boned" - has to really stretch these diapers fully out. The Velcro seems strong and stays on fairly well. Did the diaper(s) ever "fall off"? Yes. But I was able to figure out that it was from them "helping" each other out of them (rigorous rolling on carpet with "pawing" by brother-dog). Yup. They really dislike them. I put them on and they got all dejected and embarrassed. I swear, their whole demeanor changed. But they need to suck it up.... you pee, you pay. So I deducted a star for the fact that my chubby 25 pound dog was bursting at the seams. Now on to absorbency. These are fluffy, thick diapers that seem to have a ton of absorbency. Ironically, the first day we got them, a MASSIVE rain storm hit. My boys HATE to go out in the rain. They fight us NOT to go outside. Soooooo, I decided to let them win this battle. The next morning, the rain stopped in the late morning. I took off the diapers and let them outside. Both diapers had pee, and one was rather significant. Amazingly, neither leaked!! The elastic gathering worked plus they really seemed waterproof. Score one for me!! Now came the dreaded cleaning of the diapers. I will preface this by saying that when this issue first started a year ago, I bought belly bands that you placed a sanitary napkin inside to avoid the dreaded clean up. Worst purchase ever. Those pads never stayed in place. I'd find Depends pads all over my house (plus the Velcro fastener was tiny and didn't seal well). Not to mention tat I had to purchase Depends pads. No matter what you tell your friends that you bump into while purchasing them, deep down they will always think they are for you. Anyway, I rinsed the bands in hot water for a few minutes until the pee-odor went away (I didn't even need to touch the pad part yet). Then I added a few drops of detergent onto the pads, foamed it up (yes, I used my hands at this point), and then squeezed/rinsed until the foaming stopped. I hung the diapers over my utility sink to drip-dry. Easy. The diapers dried well. They were fluffy and the Velcro worked perfectly. I ended up buying a second three-pack. Now I have one on each dog, one dry one ready to swap out, and one drip-drying. I'm hoping that this gets them to stop going in the house (barring the rain storm, the diapers tend to only have small drops in them). If not, they can wear these forever. They may look a tad stupid, but at least they are going through it together. ... show more

  • Who knew belly bands were so cool?
Size: Medium Color: Natural
I was worried that my rat terrier (20# and wearing a Medium) would throw a hissy fit when I put this on him. He displayed a mild look of WTF for a few seconds and the was fine. They are beautifully made and wash perfectly . Now let's see some great colors. Enough with the gray, black and brown ONLY. Dudley is a very au courant dog and was a bit dismayed not to see paisleys and purples and pinks. This is a dog raised amongst Hermes ties -- he has a distinctive flair of his very own. If you need help for a leaky bladder or a hissy fit Peepee boy then this is the go to product. I'm ordering 6 more. You won't be sorry. ... show more

  • Almost five stars!
Size: Medium Color: Natural
I love this product- my 14 year old toy fox terrier has started to have issues with incontinence and these have helped us tremendously. They prevent him from having accidents but catch any occasional leaks. My only complaint is the band slips right off if he's laying down. I devised a little strap using mitten clips and elastic that helps to keep it on that helps a lot. ... show more

  • LARGE BREED? LARGE PEE!!
Size: Large Color: Natural
So I've been using these on my Pitt puppy for several months now and feel that I can write a fair review. First, my pup is 9 months old & 70 lbs. He's got the typical barrel chest with a little waist. I got the size large based on measurements which directs you to measure directly in front of the hind legs. They do fit but it's very tight so I feel an xl would've been better. Granted he's also grown since I first got them. He has a terrible time managing his bladder & no potty training when I got him at 5 months from a rescue. So these have gotten a LOT of use. They DO hold the urine in amazingly! If you can imagine a 70 lb dog letting hid his bladder loose. Moisture does come through however so I think if you left it on your dog for a long time after he voided it may come through. I've not had the problem myself yet but I take it off quickly once I see he's gone. As for washing; I only got the 3 pack so needless to say I've washed these numerous times. I make sure too secure the Velcro prior to washing/drying to keep them from snagging on things & keep the Velcro in good shape. They've done fine with no issues from washing or drying. All in all they hold up well, do the job they're intended for and don't bother my dog. They certainly help with keeping the floors clean! I would recommend these. ... show more
