I have sensitive skin and I like that this did not irritate my skin. I also really like that it doesn't have any perfumey smell. I like that it makes my skin feel smoother to the touch. It also seems a little less red and overall brighter overall.

I've heard a lot of great things about Perricone MD and was stoked to find that this restorative serum offers all the anti-aging benefits of retinol without irritating my skin. Unlike many serums I've tried, this one has the consistency of lightweight lotion and is completely scent free. It goes on smooth and absorbs quickly to quench my dull dry skin with soothing relief.     • Not an instant fix
Overall, for me, I found the product to be comparable to products that are 1/4 or 1/10 the price. THe other products may not have the luxurious feel of the lotion or the great bottle pump, but what you are really looking for is the active ingredient-- Retinol. After my trial of this product, I will stay with a drug-store brand that I found for a fraction of this product's cost. Here's why: ANything with Retinol or Retin-A is not an "instant" fix. It requires several weeks invested in regular use to see (maybe) a difference. I tried this product because the name is known for quality skin care products. I used this product daily for about 3 months to help resurface my facial skin. My doctor recommended using a product like this to treat a skin condition. He DID NOT specifically recommend this product. The product has a wonderful texture and it goes on smoothly leaving the skin feeling great. Others have commented that the fragrance is unappealing. I was not bothered by the scent but can see others' point. Many people experience "Retinol Burn" from using products with Retin-A and this product may cause same in your use. Retinol Burn causes redness, dryness, itching, scaling, mild burning, or worsening of acne to occur during the first 2 to 4 weeks of using the medication. Some people give up on the product during this time, saying that it made their skin worse, but that is what Retin A does. If this happens to you, check with your doctor if you feel the effects are more serious, if they are very painful, or if they last for an extended period of time. However for many people, this is necessary to enable the new skin to emerge. AFter the retinol burn, skin should be smoother, clearer, and brighter than it was before. Patience and consistency are key. If you stop soon after the reaction starts, then you have to start all over again if you decide to try the treatment again. Again, see your doctor if your side effects are more severe or worsen. This may happen with the use of ANY product containing Retin A or Retinol. Be careful with sun exposure as use of Retinol may cause you to be more sensitive to the sun. Avoid using Retinol then going into the sun. Use a sunscreen and use the Retin A product at night to minimize the effects with the sun. This is common with the use of Retinol. I did not find enough of a difference in using this product to justify the higher cost. ... show more
