  • Worked Great!
This stand works great for the specific set up I was working with. I do not have full height speakers. I have a portable, (but powerful), small "pill" desk top indoor/outdoor speaker that I connect to my projector. I have to set up the projector behind my couch to fit the screen in front of me. However, when I would connect the speaker in the same location, I did not like the sound behind me. This stand allows me to put it in front of me next to where my image is projecting or wherever I choose without having to go find a desk or drag over a table. Even though this stand was probably not designed for my type of speaker, I was able to use the adjustable holder where you place the speaker, to expand to the length I needed. If you plan to permanently attach them, there are adhesive stickers you can place within the holder to attach to your speaker. I placed the sticky padding in there for cushion only, but I did not take the top paper off exposing the adhesive, as I do not want to permanently adhere my portable speaker; instead I bought velcro strips to adhere the speaker, allowing me to remove it when needed. I love that the height is adjustable and when not in use I can just collapse it to the lowest height and store in a corner. Also, even though I only needed 1 I love that 2 came in the pack so if I do feel the need to get a full size speaker set or another small portable speaker to sync with my existing one, I'll have it. I just keep in dismantled in the box. I will add that my "pill" speaker is small - it weighs only about 3 lbs, well within the 11lbs weight requirement, but the stand base is very stable. The pieces have a good amount of weight to them and doesn’t sway. I am really happy with this purchase and I recommend this product. ... show more

  • Why did I ever try anything else?
Hi. Will spare y'all the drama of getting a grown up audio system and get (mostly) to the point. I bought the well sold and well reviewed Sanus universal speaker stands for an incremental home audio upgrade with small rear speakers for a Dolby Atmos 5.1.2 system. Bought some Klipsch R 41-M's to upgrade my rear surround speakers, at a great price, to upgrade some "placeholder" rears. I'm an audio neophyte coming from an old Panasonic HTIB. The bookcase Klipschs I got were far larger than I figured, despite looking at the measurements. They way outweighed the weight of the Sanus stands, and way larger than any universal mouting options (which were amazing for small speakers) would allow. Being the nerd I am, I found the center of gravity on the Klipsch noise makers, which is forward of the center by measuring alone. I set the bracket over the marked CG and equally dialed in the speaker stand clamps. Once done, I dialed out the speaker width adjustment screws a bit, then mounted the brackets on the stands. Solid. The base of these stands is stable. The straight sturdy pipe of the stand made threading the 16G cable I have a breeze. Doing so on the narrow, curved Sanus brand involved language not safe for network television. Assembly was simple. Fitment was great. The height adjustment thingee thing had a confident grip. I wish I bought these first. On sale, they were more inexpensive than Sanus. If your speakers meet the weight max and the clamp dimensions, buy these standands if you are on a budget. Save time. Save money. You won't regret. I hope this review helps you in your speaker stand purchase decision making process. :) Take care y'all. Be well. ... show more

  • Pros: Stable, tall. Cons: Cable management, opening potentially too small to fit cable.
I needed a rear stand for the Samsung q990c I got. I chose this stand as it appears to offer a longer size than comparable stands on Amazon which accommodates my room. The assembly was pretty easy and the stand looks sleek and is pretty stable. I would still recommend placing in an area where you don't accidentally trip it as it can still occur. The biggest con of this stand was the the opening for cable management is far too small to fit the rear speaker cable in it, at least the curved ones. I tried using a non curved version out of curiosity even though it wouldn't work with my q999c and the head still wouldn't fit. In the end, I ended up getting some cheap Velcro straps from Amazon. Specifically, 80PCS reusable cable ties, adjustable 6 inch cord organizer from One leaf store here on Amazon. With that, I was able to hide the cables perfectly so it ended up being a non issue. I would still give a 4 star only due to how narrow the hole is for cable management which would likely require one to either trim the head of the cord, or buy additional items to manage the cable. Otherwise, it's a great, quality looking/feeling stand and you can make it work for sure with some additional effort, or not too much effort like in my case with the Velcro straps. No regrets with this purchase whatsoever. ... show more

  • Sturdy stands!
I bought these stands for my Kanto TUK Bookshelf Speakers. They are a solid set of stands and are affordable too. I'm 6'4", so I needed a stand that could place the speakers at my ear level when seated; which is about 40" tall. All other brand-name stands were too short. They are not the prettiest but, this solution is perfect for me. I like that they also include soft pads to protect the speakers. I can definitely recommend these stands! ... show more

  • Ok for the price
The base is too light and small for good stability, but I used them in corners where there was no chance of anyone bumping it. They will not securely hold speakers that are not rectangular (my Axioms are narrower in back than in front) which made the stability issue even worse. If you're in an old house where the floors may not be level, forget it ... way too unstable. Could be nice with a heaver, larger base and better adjustability of the clamps. ... show more
