  • WOW They really work!
Short and sweet. I hardly ever write reviews, I researched and researched and watched all the YouTube videos on the benefits, how it works, and blah blah blah. Got it home and put my subwoofer on it and WOW what a pleasant difference it makes in sound. The bass does not rattle the floor any more and it actually sounds like the sound got crisper. I’m a fan and believer now, so much that I bought a second one for our bedroom. I also bought a pack of the ISO pucks that I have placed under all of our sound bars. Damn good product! ... show more

  • Very sturdy and inexpensive
For the money i think this is everything I wanted in an isolation stand for my subwoofer

  • A little on the expensive side, but made a huge difference!
If it was $10-15 cheaper it would be 5 stars. I only have a cheap subwoofer I got from Goodwill and I could tell it was by how diffused the bass was even when pumped up. It sat on a concrete floor and could be heard throughout the house if it was above 50% volume. As soon as I put it on this stand, even this cheap subwoofer was sounding really clear! I was able to bump the volume up to 75% without it becoming a problem for the rest of the house. This is a great addition, particularly if you are having issues with clarity and/or the rest of the house feeling the bass. It is really easy to put together, and ignore anyone talking about cheap material, it is quality plastic with rubber on any surface that is touching either the sub or the floor, with thick metal pipes that fit between the two plastic pieces. Seriously try it. As much as other want it cheaper, this pretty cheap compared to everything else you would buy for a home theatre or music listening setup. ... show more

  • I was skeptical but took a chance based on reviews, but happy I did.
First off I was skeptical on how well this would work. My home theater is on my basement and the bass from my sub could be heard and felt on the 1st AND 2nd floors of the house when the volume was anywhere near 50%. This led me to turn down the gain of the sub from 60% to 30% making bass somewhat as an afterthought at lower volumes. The stand arrived and I opened it, six pieces and simple assembly instructions. I put it together and set the sub on the stand. I turned on the TV and found a Dolby enhanced movie with lots of explosions, because that seemed to be what drew the most complaints from anyone upstairs not watching TV. (As an FYI the scene in the Dark Knight where Christian Bale fires the large mini gun into bricks to run forensics on the bullets will do just fine.) Turning the volume to 50% I noticed the bass from the sub seemed underwhelming. I readjusted the gain to the 60% level it was set at prior to lowering it to remove the excess bass in the rest of the house. The low end thump returned. I immediately ran upstairs to see if the bass was still over powering. No excess bass from the basement. Back downstairs and turn the sub gain to 75%, and back up to the first floor. While it was still noticeable it wasn't as powerful as it was prior to using the isolation stand. I then moved to the second floor. No bass from the basement was noticed. Finally settled on about 65% gain on the sub. Now I have nice thump from the sub woofer that fills the whole room, but without shaking the rest of the house. It's not 100% effective because I still can't adjust the gain of the sub any higher than where it is without disturbing anyone on the 1st floor of the house, but it's better than it was prior to using the stand. ... show more

  • Works Perfectly, Looks Fantastic
As part of a recent entertainment system refresh, we selected a large open cabinet to place our primary AV equipment. While the Definitive Tech D9 bookshelf speakers we selected were placed on the top of the cabinet (supported by IsoAcoustics Aperta stands - see my separate review of those, but highly recommended) the Definitive Tech CS9060 center we selected presented some different challenges. Specifically, it's both relatively large and would impact visibility of the wall-mounted TV if placed on top of the cabinet and it includes a dedicated subwoofer for enhanced performance (it's a fantastic center!). To mitigate this we wanted to place the speaker in the cabinet, but it was going to be too low (and far from the screen) for optimal placement (approximately at the listener's ear height), and I had concerns with reverb and other unwanted sound (e.g., echo, cabinet vibration, etc.) issues. As I was researching the IsoAcoustics Aperta stands for the D9's, I discovered this ISO 200SUB subwoofer stand and it looked like a perfect match to help solve our challenges. As soon as it arrived and I placed the CS9060 on the stand it was clear it was exactly what we needed. Along with some hidden audio acoustic panels inside the cabinet and the combination of IsoAcoustics stands the audio performance has been spot-on - we have zero unwanted audio impacts. The additional height provided by the IsoAcoustics ISO 200SUB stand also resolved the challenge of placement in the cabinet and the center is now at a more optimal ear-height and we have clear view of the wall-mounted TV. Overall, we couldn't be happier. This is a great performing product when used in combination with other components and the fact that it looks very high-end and professional (and matches the IsoAcoustics Aperta stands) makes it a complete win. Highly recommended. ... show more

  • great product
Works great! Have a stereo system outside on patio and placed this under my subwoofer. Increase the base sound level significantly and sound "tighter". Highly recommend.

  • Cleaner bass, happier neighbors
Cleaned up crowded overlapping low frequencies. Bass has gone from booming physical sensations, only, to actual discernable frequency response ranges. A bass or cello actually plays notes now instead sounding like one long explosion. Pretty sure it keeps the neighbors from having to share my fun, too. ... show more

  • Allows you to improve subwoofer sound through positioning
12/19/20 I have a subwoofer integrated into my 2 channel system. After testing locations for the subwoofer I found a spot and also elevated it with makeshift blocks. I keep the sub at a volume where it complements my Bookshelf speakers which are also on stands. My preference with my setup is I have the sub hit the notes without calling attention to itself. The ISO-200SUB subwoofer stand was easy and quick to assemble. Although, I have seen a review about the fit and finish of the stands , I have absolutely no complaints. You really don’t see much of the stand under the speaker. The stands are a great addition if you are tweaking your system to improve bass response and tightness of the bass. I suggest before you change your speakers, take the time to change the position of your speakers for improved soundstage and depth. There are many videos on YouTube to help you. The Sub stands are worth the money. They help with sub placement and position. Depending on your floors, the stand gets the subwoofer off the floor getting rid of bass sound bouncing off the floor. I am glad I purchased this particular stand and recommend it for a quality bass sound improvement. ... show more

  • Expensive, but it works
As many other reviewers, I too was skeptical. I purchased a Kanto 8” sub and it shakes my room a bit more than what I would like. For movies, it’s fun, but not for music. This fixes it. I can still hear the bass notes, the sub still pressurizes the room on movie effects, but without shaking the floor and walls. The best part is music, this makes my sub sound much more musical, just adding tasty low end without overpowering my bookshelf speakers. I love it ... show more

  • It Really Ties The Sound Together
Like the perfect rug. Seriously, once isolated from the hardwood floor, all of the low end seemed to connect more obviously to the rest of the music. The low end murkiness is gone and my soundstage was improved.

  • Note Dimensions -- Best for Smaller Subs
Only subtracted a star because the Iso is way too small to handle the footprint on my REL sub in the 2-channel audio system. The REL sub has rails instead of feet. While the IsoAcoustic stand would handle the weight of the sub (75 lbs.), but the footprint of the rails don't match up with the rubber pads on the stand. Using it to give a lift and some isolation to the (much more basic) home theater 7.1 sub, and to good effect. Bass is much more clear, open, and well-articulated in comparison to prior placement on medium pile carpet / pad / poured concrete slab. Definitely worth the price of admission; just not suitable for larger subs / those with non-standard or no feet. ... show more

  • Works a little
Most folks set these up and just assume they are doing all they are supposed to. I devised a test whereby I put a soup bowl filled with water on top of my satellite speaker, and had to sit very still in a high chair and wait til the water settled and created a mirror like reflection from the front window. This allowed me to see any vibration that the speaker cabinet was subjected to. Then I tested for vibrations from the bass speakers to the satellites using both pink noise and music. I was able to see lots of vibration caused by the bass speakers as they were sitting on the wooden floor nearby. Then I put this isolation dampeners under the two bass speakers, and noticed a slight reduction in vibrations, but not more than half of the present vibrations were dampened. This is not acceptable performance in my opinion, so I sent them back for a refund. Unfortunately I got screwed there as well. Amazon in their infinite wisdom gave me credit towards future purchases with, you guessed it, Amazon listed products. This is the first and last time such a screwing will happen here. No more Amazon for me. BTW, same experience with the isolation feet sold by the same company. They reduced vibrations by one half at best, and this with both this product under the bass boxes and the isolation feet under my satellite stands. ... show more
