The intake is good quality. I haven’t seen other Jeep cold air intakes (CAI) in person however it felt of reasonable quality compared to other CAI I’ve used in the past in other cars. I don’t think there’s a true reason to purchase a more expensive one to be honest. These Jeeps aren’t race cars and the benefit of any super duper expensive CAI won’t make much a difference. The sound of the engine immediately changed once installed to a slightly deeper tone. It felt like it had a faster throttle response and acceleration as well. Do yourself a favor and buy it!! There were no instructions but as mentioned in other reviews, look up the Red Rock intake install video it’s the same. ... show more

was skeptical that this would do anything other than make cool sounds (Which it does) but it did increase my fuel economy by over 2 mpg on road and about 1mpg off-road! what a score. some people say they feel an increase in throttle response, i don’t notice a difference. it’s a jeep so the “throttle response” is almost comical to begin with lol. there was no directions for it but i just used the extremeterrain youtube video for the red rock intake to install. they are exactly the same. here in arizona it’s very dusty so i accompanied a Rough country filter sock to go with, fit like a glove. no complaints as of yet. sounds almost as if i have a turbo or an aftermarket exhaust when i really step on the gas otherwise it sounds the same at normal speeds. the idle is actually slightly quieter so that’s cool. all in all, very happy with this product. ... show more

Gives your engine a beefier sound and actually improves throttle response and gas mileage by 1 mpg (yes, my average increased). Also bought a dual exhaust and the both of them together makes a completely different monster. Highly recommend, especially with an exhaust.

Although this is the lowest cost air induction system for Jeep Wrangler, you can see where they saved money... The tube.. It is beer can thick. I think they couldve spend the 10-15.00 to double the thickness. The thinness causes the rubber gomment for air temp sensor to not stay in as you mount the sensor. It kept pushing rubber inside.
