Tribe 11.5 is the perfect boat for a larger paddler! I'm 5'11 and large in the seat. This boat is so comfortable!!! I can fully stretch out in the boat and not have my legs get cramped up. The seat is framed and very comfortable on the back. It's wide enough for me not to feel cramped. It moves really nice in the water - really nice. This is my first kayak and I'm thrilled at how stable it feels and how easy it is to move through the water. I haven't had it on rough water yet - but so far I'm very pleased. ... show more

The Tribe is a well made, quality kayak. It tracks very well, is fairly maneuverable, and has tons of space for dry bags and gear. The fixed foot rests (like all fixed foot rests it seems) are not perfectly comfortable to me. It might just take some time to get used to. The back rest is a bit too high with no support for the lower back. I might add a webbing strap or switch out the seat. Overall I am pleased with it, as I needed to add a sit on top to my collection for the days when the knees are not too good. ... show more

I absolutely love this kayak! I purchased this for the purpose of going on short sea voyages and it does a fantastic job. It's got great maneuverability and great stability which is very helpful when it comes to ocean chop. This is also a great kayak for beginners. Highly recommend!

Kayak was delivered with significant scratches and scuffing down most of the right side. There is also a large scuff on the left front. The damage is into the plastic but does not compromise “sea worthiness”. I don’t know if the where during the delivery process the damage occurred but it’s terribly disappointing to spend $800 on a kayak and receive it with damages. To quote an observer "it doesn't look like new kayak". Should have known better than to order something that doesn't fit in a box from Amazon. ... show more

Tracks straight! Feels fast with minimum effort! It responds quickly to paddle strokes. I'm a short guy, 5' 8" and 173 lbs, so 52 lbs was a concern; however, the two handles in the middle make all the difference. With the handles, I can load and unload of a top SUV, and carry it just fine. Pricy, but I worth it. I received it with some some scratches in a couple of zones, but no biggy; It floats! ... show more

Regrets....the kayak arrived damaged. It had a horizontal crack on the inside of the hull. We did not accept delivery and the drivers are returning it. We liked the kayak, but not damaged. What is the turn around to replace it? Your drivers were awesome and very understanding.
