I really like the functions that this Headunit adds to the car. The sound quality is also very good. It’s also fast responding and not laggy. The only small issue is that the audio is sent to the original Bmw Headunit via an auxiliary cord. That means that you have to purchase an auxiliary adapter for the car if the car doesn’t have it in the first place. And as soon as I plugged it in, I heard some distortion noises through the car speakers. When I turned the bmw radio off the noises went away. I also tried to plug my phone directly in to the aux adapter and it played my music without any noises. It is not a big deal because if you listen to music with it than you can’t hear the distortion sounds but if you’re not listening to a song than you can hear them. I have talked to 4 people at amazon support and none of them can put me in contact with the manufacturer for a replacement "idrive" control knob. The only resolution they have is for me to pay to have the whole system removed from my vehicle and return it as a whole. I am having an issue with my idrive knob, its unresponsive and practically useless. Its necessary to ALWAYS use the touch screen because it is so bad. The control is the worst part of the system, button pushes need to be done firmly and held in for the system to respond and the knob needs to be turned at least 5 clicks before one movement happens in the system. Edit: PEMP have contacted me, we are working towards a solution. Edit2: It's been months since they said they would get back to me within 3 days. Numerous other issues have popped up as Ive tried to expand its usability. The software is faulty, there's no way around it. - The DVR function doesnt work AT ALL. I've plugged multiple cameras into "aux in" and tried multiple settings. No effect, always shows "no signal". You have to use another AUX app and plug your camera into "tv in" to get a picture. - Both Spotify and Amazon Music give you a warning about background permissions EVERY TIME you start the car, no matter how many times you set the permissions in the Settings, they reset when yoy turn the car off and the warnings return. ... show more

Love the unit only it looks like someone returned a previous one and the wiring harness came from a retuned one. It does not work and it has been tampered with please send me a new wiring harness. Thank you
