  • Small but mighty
Size: Mini 110V
I love the small size combined with the powerful suction. This is great for a single fireplace which is what I used it for. Works well. Simple design. Good build quality. It is a bit noisy but that's no big deal.

  • NOT a winner. Died on the job.
Size: Corded 110V
NOT a winner! My experience was very similar to others giving it a 1-star rating. I've owned ash vacs for pellets stoves for 10 yrs. This was the only one thatr ever completely died on the job. The motor heats up fast- not sure why. I trouble shot this from day 1 without success. Like most vacs, works well at first, but quickly weakens. I accepted the poor suction, it wouldn't suck up pellets, but would take care of the fine ash. After about a year of poor to mediocre performance, it finally died last night. The motor burnt out while running. Excited to buy a new, different vac. Cannot recommend this. There are just too many better, less concerning (motor heating,) other vacs out there. ... show more

  • Nice little vacuum
Size: Corded 110V
I have only used the vacuum once so far but it seemed to be a very strong suction unit. It seems quite as far as shop vac are. A dislike is the casters and how they attach. I have already seen one of the insert locations break. It seems to be cheap plastic. It's not a deal breaker, I'll use it without the wheels. As of now I would recommend it. ... show more

  • None can be better than this.
Size: Corded 110V
None can be better than this. Light weight and easy to use. I use it on the pellet stove in our house and our pellet smoker in the yard. Super good filters only blows out very clean air. Good suction and good tools to get into the dirty areas. I bought this last April and opened it to empty the collected ashes today for the first time. So easy to clean it out. The motor filter still looked brand new. I used my air compressor to help clean the HEAPA filter. This is worth every penny and I highly recommend it. ... show more

  • Filter Clogs Up Pretty Quickly
Size: Mini 110V
When vacuuming out fine ash from my wood stove, the filter clogs up within a few seconds, and suction drops to almost nothing. The motor then gets very warm. I ended up using an old Tee shirt over the filter can to get a little more run time. I think this mini unit needs some kind of pre-filter help catch the fine ash. Also, the way these filter are designed, it's hard to clean them out. Normally you could use a brush to clean the ash out of the folds in the filter media, but these have a wire mesh around the filter, so you need to use compressed air to blow the dust out from the inside. ... show more
