This is by far the best purchase i have ever made hands down, i have the 9" inch pneumatic tire version from this seller, and everything was perfect... The scooter is well designed and high quality usa made product. This thing is quick and smooth, its a joy to ride! The specs are as advertised by varla it goes over 28mph actually and the battery range is accurate as well with roughly 28 miles on a charge. I itch to drive this scooter its my new favorite thing to do!!! I want to thank varla for a fantastic product thats worth every penny!!! I'll be honest I really like this scooter. Had an issue and their customer service is wonderful. They did resolved all my issues. It's much better than most scooters you'll find on Amazon. And the dual hub motors Conquers any hills with ease. I do have a few other scooters a segway P65, Evercross. And also ebikes a talarius sting R MX4, Arial rider and a few others. This is well built with a steering dampner for higher speeds. Don't get speed wobbles at all. I highly recommend this scooter. And it is important to have good customer service and they do. Just a few issues... - The mud guards do not fully cover so you will extremely dirty front and back - Battery has died on me 3 times now in 3 years Otherwise, it's a great scooter! Love riding it around!

I have owned 4 scooters rated between 1000-3500 watts. This sits in the middle with dual 500 watt motors. Very nice design with the upgraded latch and 9" tubeless tires. The ride is excellent with the air tires. Will go 28 mph with my 6' 248lb frame. Went for a 18 mile run this morning with a mixture of hills and straight paths and still had 4 bars when I returned home. For the price I could not find a better scooter. Maybe in the next gen for the Varla could include a key or NAC to turn it on and a slightly bigger battery and maybe 10" tires as well. But this would raise the price on the machine. If you have $800-$900 you can't go wrong with this fine unit. Service is the best as well they contacted me to see if everything was OK plus sent me some gifts just for buying it on Amazon. This review is not in any way influenced buy the gifts. I am just sold on the scooter for price support and looks!! ... show more

    • A city commuter with a little extra umph
I bought this scooter around a year and a half ago to commute to and from work. Watched a ton of review videos on this, and other scooters, and I fell in love with it. The thing that sold me on it was honestly the solid rubber tires. While they get a ton of flack from the scooter community, living in NYC, and the constant construction everywhere, it's been amazing not having to change tires after a sudden flat. It does have a nice suspension that compensates for the particularly rough ride the tires provide, saving your muscle tissue in the process. 28mph is an understatement. With a brand new scooter, it can go speeds of up to 32mph, if riding in the right conditions. It's got the torque to keep up with city traffic on the road, and it's also an amazing hill climber. While the mechanical brakes that come stock on the scooter are more than you'll ever need, it would've been nice to have hydraulic brakes for a more controlled stop. The range estimated is possible, if you're a relatively thinner rider, riding on the slowest setting. It also has an internal steering dampener system integrated for stability at higher speeds. Overall, it's been an pretty amazing scooter to operate. I would just forewarn anyone that is interested in purchasing this scooter that you should keep some tools handy in case you fall into any needs of maintenance. It is a exhilarating ride, and having solid tires that won't ever puncture should give you that peace of mind that you'll never have to worry about changing another tire. ... show more
