I have the original Peak Design 20L Everyday Backpack with I use for my camera gear and extra stuff on extended trips, but wanted something a little smaller for local trips. The Zip 15L fits the bill. I can put my FujiFilm camera, two telephoto lenses, a 12mm wide angle and 30mm lens in the lower two-thirds of the pack and have space for odds and ends in the upper third. But I found that the side pockets are too tight as I can barely insert my thinnest water bottle into one of them. Maybe they will loosen up with time, but brand-new, they're too tight to be very useful. ... show more

Compact design, decent build quality. Inserts to store camera and related accessories. The compartment to store the laptop and ipad is too tight, it is extremely difficult to get the device in and out of the compartment. Overall the design could have been much better.

PD promotes itself as a brash, clever, youthful San Fran start up (bordering on arrogance). Just check their website. Unfortunately, their 15L bag with all its supposed clever bells and whistles does not live up to the hype. Specifically, the internal dividers and walls are not well padded so your delicate optical / electronics equipment bang around loosely. The shoulder straps are very stiff with little padding and are uncomfortable to wear. The sternum strap cannot be adjusted up/down and I couldn't get to fit me comfortably. Finally, the zippers developed in-house are too stiff and require high effort to open or close. PD charges a premium price, so I expected premium functionality, but not in this instance. I returned and bought the Besnfoto small backpack at half the price and am satisfied. ... show more

I just knew this bag would be "the one" - a small side access backpack for my Nikon z5 camera and lenses. They certainly fit and the side access was great but I found the bag to be cavernous and difficult to arrange those origami dividers to get a snug fit and keep my gear in place. The build quality is top notch, the functionality is close to useless. Simply put, this bag is tiny, the laptop packet does not work at all as intended having a magnetic flap that gets in the way of doing anything. If the bag is partially filled you cannot access the laptop sleeve at all. The oragami dividers started breaking down and fraying after 2 days of use, the bag has such poor space utilization to make it functionally useless. It's uncomfortable to wear, the one and only thing that it's good for is holding a single camera and maybe one good lens and that's it. You cannot even fit a water bottle in the pouch, and barely with a lot of finickiness a small travel tripod. I was looking for a bag that would be great for small camera setups and be hybrid functional for basic edc use and the bag failed both tasks miserably. I would only recommend this if you use a point and shoot camera with a mini vlogging setup and want to look ready to be on Instagram. For professional use, it's worthless.
