  • Very nice device for a fair price
Perfect fit in a standard 19" server rack, no issues with functionality. I was looking for something that could control power to individual outlets from the front but still had enough space between outlets in the back for some of the wider power supplies and electrical plugs out there. This fit the bill perfectly and the price was very reasonable! I'm not sure if it was just my package, but there were no rack fasteners with the device. Fortunately I had some spare & it's not really worth taking points away, but do note that you might need your own if you plan on mounting the PDBC70 in a rack. ... show more

  • Purchased first, the read the reviews !!!!! miswired circuits, loose screws, switches not working.
After reading the reviews, I got worried !!!! As soon as it arrived I opened it and put it on my test bench!!! Plugged in the main power outlet and IMMEDIATELY ran through the front toggle switches attached to my Klein circuit tester. To my great relief each and every one show "CORRECT" on the Klein. Unit is very HEAVY and very substantial. Little to no plastic! Good on Pyle ! My worries started to abate. Mounted it in a VERY heavy, VERY old Telco rack; only one bolt gave me a little trouble. Note: The entire equipment rack is powered through a twenty ampere UPS. Very Happy !!!!!!!! ... show more

  • Pyle PDBC70 PDU. Good, solid, quality construction.
I got this PDU for my computer desk. The slim, 1U rack design and small footprint allowed for more room than the large, square PDU that I've had since the early 2000's. The quality and construction of the PDU is outstanding, there's no rattling, no loose screws or internals. This isn't some cheap Chinese garbage that you have to worry about starting a fire. The 9 on/off switches give off a warm orange glow and have a satisfying click when you switch them on and off. The rear outlets are as solid as the rest of the construction, there's no loose outlet, no wiggle, just a solid plug. The power in cord is a nice thick quality cord that plugs straight into the wall socket, it's not a 90° plug. The only thing that would make this unit better would be to have a removable power in cable. I highly recommend spending the money on one of these to protect your computer, audio, video or whatever equipment you have hooked up through this Pyle PDBC70. ... show more

  • Nice unit. I will buy more. No agency (UL) approvals. Strange warranty process.
Great for home use - not for professional use. It is built like a car, not like a tank. There are no agency approvals, if this is important to you. In order to register for a warranty, you must download and install a phone app, or you cannot register your unit. I guess none of my units will have warranties. Smart marketing. I've never run into something like that. I will buy more of them for a major project that I am working on because they have the features that I need, but this is for home use, not for professional use. ... show more

  • Great multi-device power controller.
I have only had this device a few days, but I have already put it into use and so far it is doing everything that I needed from it. I am happy that all of the receptacles are on the back. For my application that is what I need. And all of the switches are on the front and numbered. If you are like me, you have many devices connected to your computer that have little power transformers to power them. And so you need to find a place to plug them. Well my solution was to buy this device along with two 5-packs of the ClearMax three pronged 12" extension cords. If you use these short extension cords, then you don't have a problem trying to get the transformers to fit within the spacing of the receptacles on the device. If you plug in all of your little transformers and label the switches as to which is which transformer, then you can easily turn the other devices on an off from one location. I know that many people just leave these transformers plugged in all of the time. Not only are the transformers constantly using energy and driving up your electric bill, but it is also dangerous to leave the transforms plugged in unattended. If they get a short in their little power cord that plugs into your shaver, phone, radio, etc, then they can cause a fire. With this device, I can plug in my phone to its charger and flip a switch and it is charging. When I am done, I just unplug and switch it off. Having nine switches on this device, you can control a lot of devices. The quality appears to be good. I read somewhere that the rack mount tabs on the side are thin metal. I am not sure what device they are referring to because the rack mount tabs on mine are study metal. You cannot bend them with you hand. You might be able to bend them with a pair of pliers, but they seem as sturdy as any rack mount tabs I have seen. The switches appear to be good quality when you flip them and they light up. Because I have only had the device a short time, I cannot tell how long the lights will last. However, the lights are just a bonus. If the switch is up, it is on and if down it is off. If the switch continues to work great, I am not as concerned about the lights, although they are nice to have from a distance. The power cord is a substantial cord and appears to be of good quality and sufficient length for most applications. I am extremely happy with this device and it solves my multi-device electrical problems. ... show more

  • Worth the purchase!
Bought for my husband. Works great! I no longer have to reach behind my speaker to cut my monitors on. It is a time saver and makes everything convenient. It also fits perfectly in my gear rack. This power strip does not come with screws, so make sure that you have some on hand. The style of the strip is simple. The numbers on the front, match the numbers on the back. Would definitely recommend purchasing if this is something that you are looking for. ... show more

  • DO NOT BUY!!!
This product is a disaster. First of all the holes do not match up to the rack. Second and most important it is wired backwards and could cause a fire or Death! Tried contacting the manufacturer Pyle with no result. Past return period and Amazon blew me off after being a very loyal customer to them. Will Never purchase another Pyle product. ... show more

  • Works great, individually switched 9 outlets can be rack mounted
I wanted something slim in my TV cabinet with the added ability to turn off individual outlets, this is perfect. Looks good taking up a slim 1U in the cabinet (not mounted, just sitting on its feet). Provides a professional look when installed correctly A bit pricey but worth it.
