  • Died after 6 months
Put it in and the installation was easy. It worked for about six months and then just died all of a sudden without warning not recommending this for anyone who is wanting to get value for the money for a power supply. Next time I’ll go with EVGA or another name brand.

  • Hoping this lasts as long as my last PC Power and Cooling PSU
This company has been around a quite a while and I used one of their PSU's in my first PC build 12 years ago. That supply was still powering my PC until last year when I built a new system. This PSU is quite and I haven't had any issues so far. A nice bonus is the PCIE 6+2 power cables split where they plug into the PSU so each socket gives you two full length cables instead of having an ugly daisy chain at the end of one cord. The only improvement I'd ask for is the cables to be more of a matte material instead of the glossy coating as it reflects a lot of my RGB light which makes the cables stand out instead of hiding away like they should. ... show more

  • The brand I trust most.
Works as desired. Appears to be as solid as ever.

  • USE THEIR CABLES
I had been using a Corsair 850rmx white and I needed more power. I tried to use the corsair cables because they look way better, but it would not boot until I used PC Power cables for everything. In the process of the upgrade the SATA power cables from corsair, plugged into a PC power PSU somehow FRIED TWO OF MY HDDs. There went 2.5TB of data. luckily I have backups, but I lost 2 drives. USE THEIR CABLES. They're not the coolest, but they won't fry your HDD. I got a new 2TB and it works fine. ... show more

  • solid and quite, modular cables a nice touch
Just built a new PC. So far (one month), this power supply has been great. It and the other fans are sub-whisper quite, I can't even hear that they're running or the PC is on. The power supply has a slight inrush current spike at startup, but then settles down to what is required. Watch your breakers and keep other stuff off until you start your PC, once it's on no problem. This is only if you have a limited AC supply, I'm on 10A total for a heavily used room, and this is a 1050W supply! The modular design is great since you only plug in what cables you need, and can keep the rest out of your PC and in the nice zippered cable bag it comes with. ... show more

  • Don't Expect Warranty Support
Shortly after putting this power supply into use, I started having log entries on my computer letting me know that the 3.3v rail was dropping below 3.3v, and then recovering. Some of the times this happened, it was causing an unexpected reboot of the computer. I knew that the PC Power and Cooling warranty was 10 years, so I attempted to contact them to perform any troubleshooting they recommended and to potentially get it RMA'ed. I submitted a request on their website, providing my serial number, receipt, contact information and problem description and never heard anything back. After some time, I attempted to contact them at their listed number for warranty replacement. I ended up calling multiple times on multiple days, but every day there would be no answer on the line, and force me to keep pressing a button to keep it ringing. After 3 loops of this, it sends me to the voicemail, which is full, and I am disconnected. I also tried re-submitting the RMA request through the website again, and again, heard nothing back. I have since purchased a new power supply from a different company to replace this unit, and it has resolved my issue. If you purchase one of these or another PSU from this company, you should go into it assuming you will not be able to get the advertised warranty support. This is disappointing because before this experience, I would have described PC Power and Cooling as a premium brand. ... show more

  • Cable Length
only problem I had was cable length. The CPU power cable length in the last 3 computer builds have been barely long enough to reach the mobo and difficult to put away, out of view. One day, I will find a Power Supply with CPU power cables that I can tuck away after connecting.... Also, I have never had a noisy PSU.... It's usually my CPU fan that gets loud AF. ... show more

  • Very reliable and consistent
I have had many PC Power and Cooling Power Supplies, and none have failed, so far. This particular model is particularly quite. I like the modular design and the cables come in a convenient bag, so I can keep the cables safe for future expansion. Fits well, and is attractive looking as well. The company has been bought out by OCZ, and subsequently bought out by FirePower Technology; but they seem to be maintaining the quality of the original product. This is my go to company for reliable PC power supplies. ... show more
