I have to soak the food for my dogs, one because of teeth the other dog just prefers it. when you soak it a few hours it looks just like ground beef. my dogs poops are better, they love it, and I also use a piece as a treat instead of harmful treats at store. I have it auto shipped 2x a month 5 bags. its saves a little $$. Its the most expensive dogs food but as they say you get what you pay for. Would rather spend more on food then the Vet. I received a sample of the product from a retailer in my town. My two pups went banana’s over it. It’s kind of a more costly bag, but well worth the money as to what you’re getting in return. 100% beef is the ingredients! My dogs love it! I love it, that I’m giving them something that doesn’t have fillers or junk in it. I use it as a snack and a generous food topper and it goes over well. I highly recommend this company and dog food!     • Finally.....a Food That She Loves

I've had my rescue for two years and I've spent thousands of dollars trying to find foods that she can eat that don't cause her pancreatitis to flair up. When I say that I have bought every high end air dry food on the market, I am not kidding. Some of these foods can cost upwards of $600/month, but I was willing to do anything to get my dog better. I bought this food on a whim because she had once again stopped eating another food that I was ordering online from a very expensive company. I put it in her bowl and walked away knowing that she most likely wouldn't eat it and I would have to give her the "back up" cooked chicken that I always keep in the fridge. I came back a few minutes later and it was gone. For a minute, I actually thought I had forgotten to put the food in her bowl. I was ecstatic but skeptical and figured she was just finally hungry enough that she ate it. The next morning, the exact same thing happened. I put a bit more in her bowl because she was sitting there looking at me like she wanted more. I grabbed a small handful and put it in her bowl and she ate that too. Nothing feels better than finally seeing your dog eat. I waited and fully expected the usual stomach upset and eating of grass afterwards, but none of that happened. On a weird side note, I have a very old cat who is losing weight and towards the end of her life and I found her eating the food out of the bowl with my dog a few days later. I know that cats needs are different than dogs needs and she's never tried to eat any of my other dogs food in the past, but she became obsessed with eating this food. I put a small bowl over by her food area and she ate the whole thing. She's been zooming around the house and has quite a pep in her step the last few days. I'm not going to worry about whether this is right for her or not because she's energized and looking better than she has in the last six months! I like that it's all natural and has the nutrients my dogs need. They LOVE IT. But with three Brittany's, it not cost effective- 2meals/day, 3 dogs = 2 bags/wk. I simply can't afford $260/mo for dog food. For now, I'm using this only as a topper on their food due to cost. If it was less expensive, this would be their main diet. ... show more

There is a big kick with healthy food for dogs, and getting dried food is cheaper to ship but more expensive to make. This is likely a high quality product, and my dog loved it! However, I am the wrong type of customer for this. I spoil my dog with treats, but for the main food I look for a cheap, high protein content. This is high protein, but almost as expensive as the 50lb bag I buy from Menards with 29g of protein per serving. ... show more

    • A life extension for our sweet old girl

Our 26-lb senior dog has canine cognitive dysfunction, which means she has dementia. Dogs with dementia can struggle to eat because they have difficulty keeping food in their mouths. Plus, their appetite diminishes over time. I've been handfeeding canned food to her but she has little interest even when I jazz it up with some ground turkey or chicken. Small specialty kibble held only limited appeal, too. It's just been a nightmare to get enough calories in her. I spend a couple of hours everyday working to get bites of food into her. We're not ready to say goodbye to her yet because she seems happy and spirited in spite of her dementia, heart disease, liver disease, and Cushings disease. My quest for dog food that would be highly palatable, fully nutritious, and easy for her to keep in her mouth led me to this air-dried chicken kibble. And it's the miracle we needed... she snorted it down! A few pieces fell out of her mouth, but 95% stayed in. Best yet, she ate it on her own. She absolutely loved it. It's painfully pricey stuff, but for this girl, I'll buy as much as needed while she's still with us. Highly recommend trying it for special needs dogs like ours. ... show more
