  • DO NOT BUY THIS GAME! Read my review! This game deserves zero stars!
If it were possible to give NEGATIVE STARS I would give it TEN. I would like my money back. This has to rank among absolute worst games I have ever played, and will ever play. Again, I want my money back, the game is not as described. It’s supposed to be a flight simulator, the aircraft don’t react correctly, the game is creating its own laws of physics that don’t appear in real flight. You stall at 1000 feet regardless of throttle? You spend the same amount of fuel at 100% throttle as you do at 10%? Does this sound like a simulation of flight very much? Secondly, I’d like to point out the game is terribly glitchy, I have never seen a product so rushed to the shelves. I’m assuming they rushed it, because there’s NO WAY this could have passed any modicum of beta testing or quality assurance done properly through the right channels to ensure a good game to the customer. I paid $28.53 USD, and I would like it all back. This game has glitched to the point there’s no way to progress forward. The general rule structure of the software is flawed! The game creates a situation in which the ONLY solution is to abandon all hope, delete and restart from the very beginning! The second obtainable aircraft won’t even leave the hangar unless you start the plane before the its finished loading. This is another glitch that keeps happening on other islands. The game causes my PS4 to crash every time I’ve attempted the first mission in the second plane. I cannot even complete a Proper YouTube review of the game due to its complete failure!!! And lastly, even if the game was glitch free, the biggest upset of the game is it is downright boring and unfair to the player. It’s almost as if whoever made it, hates their job and hates all the customers who would potentially buy this game. How is it, that there are hundreds of missions where you spend $285 in fuel and earn $300? You net $15 measly dollars?!?!? The first upgrade is $1500 for the first plane!!!! You expect the player to play 100missions for one upgrade? You have to upgrade 9 times before you can unlock the NEXT plane! The upgrades get more expensive as you go and will in tota pay $14,500 just to be able to purchase the next plane. The bloody next plane is almost $9000!!!!! You will REGULARLY end up PAYING to go on these missions. The only way I’ve managed to unlock the next plane is by using the OTHER Major glitches in the game. To where you can get paid by not even flying, therefore not wasting any bloody fuel! The contraband flights, I’m assuming were to offset the terribly bad pay you receive for the legal missions. The whole pay system is bloody rubbish!!! Where you can end up paying to go on the missions due to fuel consumption, yet again bringing you to an unwinable situation, you need to pay for fuel, yet your next mission needs you to refuel, but wait! Your last mission cost you more than you made so you can’t even buy fuel to continue the game, sorry, you must delete and restart from the very beginning and first mission. The game graphics and all could’ve been forgiven if the game at least played right, but it doesn’t even do that. I want my money back for having bought a flight sim game, expecting a flight sim game, but instead, I received a disc in a plastic box full of glitches, unwinable situations, poor graphics, and a complete lack of respect to any hard working person who wanted to relax by spending their hard earned money on what they thought would be a good fun game. ... show more

  • It's better than a poke in the eye with a sharp stick...but then again, maybe not!
You can have some fun with this game for the price they're asking but it's not as realistic as I would have liked. Here as some observations that I think the game developers should fix. 1. There are no flaps on the plane, so if you are coming in for a landing high you can't increase your rate of descent without increasing airspeed. 2. There is no trim, so you can't maintain level flight at a particular airspeed. 3. Fuel rate of consumption seems to be the same regardless of throttle setting. What I end up doing is climbing to max altitude (1,000 Meters on the 1st plane you are given) at which point your engine will stop. I then glide to conserve fuel until I'm at about 200 Meters, turn on the engine and repeat the process. I find I need to do this if I want to make a profit on the trip. Sometimes, all the deliveries you are offered only pay $200 which if your engine is running all the time it won't cover the cost to refuel before your next pick-up and delivery mission. Update: I changed my rating from 3 stars to 2 stars. I finally earned enough money to buy a better plane (There are 3 total that you can acquire.) which allows you to fly to Islands further away but the game crashes half way to the next Island I have to do a pick-up. So, that's as far as you can go in the game, until they fix that bug! ... show more

  • Island Flight and Thrustmaster controller
Purchased a Thrustmaster T. flight Master just for Island Flight. Can’t access the map for navigating island hopping so I am flying blind. That’s scary enough in the real world! (I hold a private pilot var license in the real world). However a greater disappointment is what this PS4 game promised... a non- combat platform! I’m 75 yers old, and I don’t want to revisit old war scenarios, nor do I want to fly MAC I aircraft. There is an element of humor in this game; you can deliver cases of soda pop to out Islands if you can access The Chart! Please either Thrustmaster, or Island Flight Simulator fix this? I have mastered landing on short strips, but there is no toggle for flaps; you the pilot have to carefully monitor airspeed and throttle ( keep percentage of power at 20% until final flare, then zero% and O on throttle side is your break. The triangle then offers a circle which is the pick up area for cargo. The islands themselves are quite beautiful, with challenging short strips. The price for this game is excellent, the premis is terrific, the “ illegal cargo” deliveries sounds intreaging, but just too many buttons on the Thrustmaster are missing or inoperable. Can’t help but think the developers just gave up on tweaking this game? Please Island Flight, bring out I. F. 2 ! And Thrustmaster, I need some compatibility as well! ... show more

  • Relaxing game that won't overwhelm you
Small game by an independent studio. Fun, fairly mindless and stress free. Wish they would make the walking around axis inverted like the plane, or at least the option, but you don't do much walking anyway. If you need something to wind down and relax, this is a good option. If you want to do mach 2 and blow up sukhoi jets, wait for ace combat in December. Your flying Cessnas here, so relax, and run some drugs between islands (yes, you can do that. It pays more than running shoes). ... show more
