    • Made a two-day cross-country move substantially easier!
Had a two-day drive cross-country. Our seven-year-old chihuahua mix has never traveled before, so we were worried about keeping her comfortable and making sure she did not run off on us. She measures L20" x W10" x H14" and weighs about 10 lbs., so we purchased this carrier in large because of its roomy dimensions. She had no issues being able to stand up, sit, lay down, or turn around inside the carrier. In fact, she preferred to stay inside for much of the drive because it made her feel safe, but it also has a myriad of pockets one can unzip if your pet wants to stick their head out to look out the windows. I'm going to be real here: a lot of motels do not allow pets, but we cannot just leave them alone at night in freezing temperatures. If you need a subtle carrier to sneak your pet in, this one is perfect. The nylon fabric and construction makes it look like a gym bag, and you have the option of using the double top handles or an included crossbody strap to carry it. I would not consider it very heavy. We also spent a few days training her to use it as a bed and to be comfortable inside it. The bottom has a fairly sturdy shearling pad at the bottom that is removable. It did not bend or buckle under our dog's weight, though heavier dogs ( more than 10 lbs. ) may see it flex. The carrier also has a slit pocket on the side to store the crossbody strap as well as their leash. The openings can be secured with a buckle, which makes it really useful for if you need to leave your pet in the car temporarily to go use the gas station restroom without worrying about them jumping out of the car. It is not the most sturdy pet carrier out there, but it's as much as we needed during this long trip and a really good value for about $20. Our travel would have been significantly more stressful for us and her without it. She has a proper bed now, but sometimes she'll still crawl inside the carrier and lie down! ... show more

    • Good carrier, sturdier than it looks
I've owned two of these for over a year now, and they are still in good shape. So here's what I know so far; - It's very comfortable. I find my cats napping in there fairly often. - It's sturdier than it looks. One of my cats has been pretty rough on it, scratching at the mesh window part. It's not damaged yet. - It comes with a nice cozy fleece bed that is removable if you need to wash it. - There's a stiff board sealed underneath the fleece bed that helps making the fleece bed and bottom of the carrier more sturdy. - There's a little zip opening at the top (you can see it in the pictures), very convenient to comfort your pet during a trip to the vet without having to open the front of the carrier and risking your pet escaping. - Sleeve pockets on the side are convenient to store things like vet paperwork, toys, treats, etc. - The large size carrier is the perfect size for my small female cats. One is a little under 8 pounds, the other 10 pounds. Anything smaller would not leave them enough room to be comfortable in there. - I had to make a small adjustment when I received the carriers; the rings for the buckles looked as if they were about to fall off due to the zipper ring being too loose (and sure enough, one of them did come off while I was zipping the front). Tightening it to secure the buckles ring to it with a tool seemed to have fixed it, but I wish I didn't have to do that. - Both carriers came with padded shoulder straps (removable). Very useful to keep your hands free. - One side of the carrier is all mesh, the other side has a mesh window, and the bottom part has a mesh pocket on the outside of the carrier. The top of the carrier also has mesh so you can see your pet inside. - It was cheaper than a lot of other pet carrier I looked at. - You can use this carrier to carry your pet with you on a flight, which is one of the reasons I bought it. I didn't use it for that yet tho, but when I do I'll update. - Has a luggage tag on one of the straps. Overall I'm pretty pleased with this. However I would recommend the large carrier, unless your pet is incredibly tiny. ... show more
