I have always liked this product but bought this big bottle. When I finished my bottle 8oz - I poured out excess on bottom - shook big bottle and poured. They made a mistake because it leaves a terrible residue. I think they used wrong bottle at factory and this received was actually firm. I've been using this product for many years, but this is the first time I've purchased from Amazon. Happy with price and delivery, however I question if this is really Paul Mitchell product? PM has a distinct scent, and this spray has an unpleasant scent. Thus, my doubts.

I purchased the same product, from the same vendor (Amazon) twice a couple of months apart. Since I never used Paul Mitchell before I did not know what about the product. I did not notice a difference in drying time or setting up my hair the first time but I purchased it again to give it a second chance. To my surprised the two products contents were different. First bottle was a creamy clear gel (not spray) and the second was a watery with an alcohol smell (spray). Which one is the real deal? I will go to beauty supply and buy it to compare. This is NOT the same product I buy in the stores. Is it really Paul Mitchell? When it does dry it's like glue on your hair. The same product purchased at the salon is light on your hair and doesn't weigh it down. This gives it a wet, heavy look. It's AWFUL. I will not buy this online again. This hair spray works great with good hold and no residual scent, though if you use too much it will leave a shiny sheen. I have no complaints, but apparently this item replaced a previous Paul Mitchell product that I can no longer find. It performed identically, except that if your coiffure got messed up by, say, crawling under your desk to connect some computer cables, you could just wet your comb, run it through your hair again, and when it dried you would have a fresh “set”. I don't know if I got a bad bottle, or if Paul Mitchell changed the scent, but it's gag-worthy. I've been buying Paul Mitchell products for 20 years through my stylist and have always been happy with the product. This time, I purchased through Amazon since my salon is closed due to COVID-19. I am highly dissatisfied with the 'Paul Mitchell' hairspray. I normally buy this from my stylist, but thought I'd give this a try. It smells NOTHING like the real paul mitchell hairspray, that has a fresh, amazing, watermelon scent to it. This hairspray smelled nothing like that, and even worse, it feels like I am spraying straight water on my hair, literally. Worst of the worst, will not order again. Don't buy it! ... show more
