  • Best purchase
Size: 3.5 Cu.Ft
Ive had this dryer for about a few months and absolutely love it!! I have a one bed apt. With no hookups so i thought I’d try this out and it was the best thing i ever did. We’re on the second floor and have ran it at night its very quiet but has a squeak every now and then. I haven’t gotten any complaints from my neighbors at all! I’m amazed at how much it can fit and how well it dries! I would be careful with delicate items because it will kind of pull the thread or like knot it up in a way! I will say its also a lot bigger than i had originally thought! It’s a pretty clean and well put together product! I would recommend this to ANYONE that has a place with no hookups because it is an absolute LIFESAVER!! Instead of carrying down multiple baskets of clothes I’m able to do it in my home :) I haven’t noticed a big increase on our electric as well. ... show more

  • Great little machine.
Size: 3.5 Cu.Ft
Due to joint problems I needed a small laundry set to go upstairs so I didn't have to go to the basement. I have used this 5 times so far and it works great. It doesn't dry as fast as my gas dryer downstairs. But it dried things quicker than I expected. I do spin my clothes twice in the washer first, which helps. I am glad I found one with the controls on the top of the machine instead of at the bottom. Makes things a lot easier. The wrinkle guard setting made a big difference. It also holds more than I expected. But the large black door is not glass! It is solid and you cannot see through it. I had a roller base for it, but I am looking at building one to make it about 1 to 1.5 feet high. This should make changing the filter and getting laundry out easier. Or you could mount it on the wall with a kit. ... show more

  • Why did I wait so long!?
Size: 3.5 Cu.Ft
If you're tired of the laundromat or sharing laundry machines with neighbors in your building and you dont have traditional w/d hookups in your home, you won't regret this purchase. I thought about buying this set for a year before I actually did it and I regret waiting! Here is EVERYTHING you need to know about this product..... Plan for this purchase by rearranging furniture to make room for it near a window - its bigger than I expected, just a bit smaller than a dishwasher. If you're buying the washer also, the same applies but you'll want it near a water source or else buy the dolly because it is a bit difficult to move around on the existing wheels & get a hose too because the included washer hose is VERY short. You will need a dryer vent kit (the flexible aluminum tube is what we use, the plastic one with a bubble on the end for water is okay if you don't mind humidity) and the exhaust filters, so buy them with this dryer or you'll wish you did. I placed this in front of a window and used cardboard pieces from the box to make a frame that goes around the aluminum vent between the screen and the glass as a makeshift "seal" for the window when I open it while drying clothes so we dont lose air conditioning. There are accordian-style window sliding products that will do this for you but if you're on a budget in a hot climate, my method works perfectly fine. Clean the lint trap between every load, and pick the lint layer off of the exhaust filter every 10 loads (I do it after I'm done with ALL the laundry for the week) to extend the life of the filter and for faster drying. This unit will stop tumbling and then start tumbling in the opposite direction periodically which is supposed to prevent the knotting up of items - a nice touch, but it squeals loudly when it shifts from one direction to the other. We got used to it, but we tried to exchange the machine and there were none available. This is the reason for 4 stars and not 5. I bought the protection plan and will address this with Allstate if it continues to make noise. Surprisingly, this item does dry clothes well and they don't come out hard, stiff, or with static, and it doesnt take forever as long as you don't try to fit too many items. I wash laundry for myself, my partner, and my son once a week using this and the new Panda washer with the blue lid. My son loves that he can reach and help with doing the "mini laundry". For a weeks worth of clothing, bath towels, and bedding, I would estimate about 8-10 loads versus 4-5 in a traditional machine. We live in Florida though, so consider that we sleep with gauzy cotton linens and we don't use a lot of outerwear or comforters like people up north. This unit will not work for comforters or large puffy coats. I also bought the Magic Chef laundry stand and a set of hooks to hang delicates and athletic clothing, and that helps offset the space issue and the energy costs of drying an extra load. A typical load looks like any of these, and will dry in about 1 hour: Small childrens items: 8 shirts, 4 jeans, 5 sock pairs, 5 underwear, 2 pajamas sets and sports shorts. (1 load per week for my 4th grader) Adults: 2 jeans, 5 shirts, socks, underwear, 2 sports shirt/shorts. (2 loads for myself, 1-2 loads for my husband) Towels: 3-4 (1 load per week, we use our towels 2-3 times before washing) Linens: Fitted and flat sheets and pilowcases (2 loads per week) Blankets: 1 gauzy cotton linen queen size blanket, 1 fleece blanket. (1 load per week) Each load should be about the size of 2 stuffed grocery bags if that gives you an idea of how much laundry you can do without compromising how clean the laundry is or over stressing the machines. For messy children, you may want to presoak or rub off any crusty food stains. Yes it will take longer, but being able to do laundry at home without carrying giant baskets here and there has been a time saver. Just buy it and save yourself time and hassle - get the insurance for 5 years and dont worry if you're being ripped off, the price of this product plus insurance will still save you money versus going to the laundromat or worrying about thieving/spiteful/dirty neighbors! The big benefit of these items is if I move, I can bring them with me or sell them. ... show more

  • Stopped Working During 2nd Load - BEWARE!
Size: 3.5 Cu.Ft
My dryer stopped tumbling during the second load (after approximately 90 minutes of total use). My loads were small and consisted of only women's underwear. I am now stuck trying to figure out how to get this thing out of my basement and house by myself. Let alone trying to figure out how to return it. or get it in a Kia sedan - ugh! The dryer arrived on time and the box was somewhat damaged. After unboxing, I saw that there was a superficial dent that would not bother me or impact the mechanics of the dryer - so I was just going to live with it because of my circumstances. I knew I could manage to get the dryer into my house and slide it down narrow basement stairs by myself - something I would not recommend to anyone doubting their physical ability. Surely, I cannot pick it up and carry it back up. If you're like me and don't have anyone who can come help with carrying things like this - I'd recommend keeping it where you can get it back out of the house just in case you get a lemon unit like I did. I was happy with the appearance of the dryer and the controls. The door seemed like it wasn't "tight" when it closed but I didn't feel any air or heat escaping from around it when it was running. Cleaning the lint filter was very easy between loads. Hook up was simple since I had an idea of what to do. I have the dryer vented out through existing duct work. You will need to supply your own dryer venting tube that is 4-inches in diameter (something not noted in the manual that would be helpful). The instruction manual was provided very minimal instruction. Just enough to get you going. To say I'm disappointed is an understatement. I've looked at these dryers for the past 5 years, read reviews, watched videos, and dreamed of the day I could stop hanging all my laundry to dry. Seriously, I wanted it for underwear, socks, towels, and a bed sheets. Nothing big, bulky, or heavy. This dryer is supposed to have a 13 pound capacity so I know it wasn't anything that I did. I guess I'm left hanging out to dry - thanks for nothing Panda! ... show more
