You can talk about specifications all you like. Reviewers with smoking recommendations inflate reviews of these Panasonic Batteries and with tons of jargon that ads up to NOTHING in the end. What matters, the REAL performance and comparison of these to other Amazon-Eneloop and Sanyo-Eneloop batteries of the past. HERE IS A PRACTICAL APPLICATION THAT SAYS IT ALL..... I use the old white label (blue letter) Sanyo Eneloop AAA at 750-800mah, the Amazon white label AAA 750-800mah, and amazon black label (that was essesentially, supposed to be, the same as the black label Sanyo Eneloop batteries BEFORE Panasonic bought out Sanyo for the Eneloop label). Using all these batteries bares NO difference in performance in the end. I have a charger which reads the percent of battery charge left and actual voltage left on each individual battery. After using all these batteries in the same way in Bose QC25 headsets and in a Cappacino battery powered stir device, with all batteries charged full, all batteries measure the same after each use with the same amount of use. What is more, these so-called 950mah batteries bog down just as bad as my 5 year old 750mah white label amazon batteries in the Cappacino mixer. In fact, I recharged these new 950mah Panasonic Eneloops, checked out the voltage, and after the same number of uses, the voltage was LOWER than on my old white label Amazon-Eneloops. BOTTOM LINE - HIGHLY, HIGHLY OVER RATED AND OVER PRICED MEDIOCRE BATTERY. PATHETIC. Save your money and go for the Amazon gray and green label 800mah for 12 bucks a pack less. I use the gray/green label Amazon AA in my DSLR flash and they last forever. I do believe the older Sanyo Eneloop black label to be better than these Panasonic versions as well. I am a professional photographer and swear by these batteries. They last a long time, perform really well, and store very well for prolonged periods of time too. I haven't considered buying any other brand/product line since I came across these upon the recommendation of a wedding photography forum (slrlounge.com). They advertise these batteries as 900mah and after purchasing an entire pack and charging, not a single one did better than 400mah, most all averaging around 280-300mah on a full charge. One of the batteries in the pack just gives an ERR message when trying to charge. My guess is they sat dead too long before they shipped out. I tried cycling them through trickle charges, d-charge, 2 different battery chargers.. All the same result. These are either bad batches that the seller is putting on Amazon to get rid of, or they are knock-off batteries. I have had better results from other no-name AAA batteries sold on Amazon than these things. ... show more

Bummer, 3 of these batteries have flat out died (had for 6 months, charged maybe twice). I am not sure why. I have 8 and the other 5 are just fine. I use the same charger for all of them and use them all for the same devices. 3 of them already. I'm worried about the rest. I've given up on trying to contact Panasonic. I'll change this review if things change... ... show more

I've no idea what's the problem now, the prior set I got, maybe a prior Eneloop generation, is still going strong, these newer ones are really bad, like if I had purchased the cheapest and less reliable brand out there. Bought directly from Amazon too, so beware.

No reason to buy throw-away batteries ever again. Buy batteries once and laugh at all the others wasting cash buying batteries every month. These are the best for camera flashes(aa), and find the aaa batteries really good for flashlites. The white eneloops I use for things like tv remotes that don't need the extra maH. Get a starter pack with a charger and quit filling landfill with batteries. ... show more

Very pleased with the purchase of these batteries for my cordless phone. Spent a lot of time comparing reviews of many offers & seemed like buying the Panasonic rechargeable batteries was best priced, most reliable, highest rated option for my cordless Panasonic landline phone. Glad I chose these. Work well, fully charged as fast as expected. Seems to stay charged a long time, even after long landline phone calls. I love Eneloop batteries. I have some AA's from 2014 and they are still working at full capacity. The "precharged" claim should be viewed with caution. The latest group of 8, AAA batteries which I received were charged only from 1/3 to 2/3 of capacity. I used a LaCrosse charger which measures and shows the amount of charging needed. ... show more
