Different Barrel Sizes PANA Flat Top Carbide Drill Bits has two barrel size options to help tackle surface areas, such as large barrels for larger areas, and small barrels for smaller areas. Flat Top: The Carbide of Simplicity PANA Flat Top Carbide Drill Bit is known for it's simplicity to cut, shorten, backfill and shape the nail. However, be careful of the cuticles, as the sharp edges may cut into the client's skin. Different Color Options PANA Flat Top Carbide Drill Bits has three different color variations such as silver, gold and the diamond-like carbon coating that lasts three times longer, DLC black. Tungsten carbide is about 10 times harder than 18K Gold, 5 times harder than tool steel, and 4 times harder than titanium, making it one of the most durable materials in the market. A tungsten carbide drill bit will last much longer and unlike other metals, it will not rust, dull or break after a couple uses. The deep cuts to make the grids on the carbides drill head is deep enough to catch debris without getting in the way as well as making it easier to clean. Avoid scratching the client's nail while filing with the drill head's smooth finish! The flat top carbide drill bits are flat at the top with straight barrels to help reach the problem areas that need to be smoothed out as quick as possible. Im experienced nail tech (usually do acrylic or dipping) and Ive purchased 6 nail drill bits from Pana so far (Metal flat top 4XC, 5in1 metal cone F, 5in1 metal cone XF, Ceramic flat top XF, Metal flat top XF, Metal tapered XF) and I LOVE ALL OF THEM! Ive bought some cheaper nail bits from Aliexpress just out of curiousty and yeah... Just trash. Pana is the best when it comes to nails bits. It stays sharp, doesnt wear off easily but still so smooth on nails and very efficient, no heating sensation. Trust me, if you need new nail bits, just go for Pana! ;D Im wonderingp how Pana’s acrylic brush works... Ill try it soon and leave a review. Tip: other than Pana, I would recommend Proberra, ToDacUSA,Wilson for nail drill bits. (Ive got all of them from Ebay) These 3 brands’ nail bits work just good as Pana and I believe all of them are ‘made in USA’. ... show more

I love this drill bit!!! It seals and smooths the acrylic so well. I thought I wouldn’t like it because it was fine but it’s amazing. I did read reviews about it being way to sharp so when I got it I scored the top edges of the drill bit on a rough surface to smooth it out and now it’s perfect!!! No cutting me or my clients! First off, I ordered these bits on February 1 and they never arrived so I had to contact Amazon for a refund. Although they were lost in transit, I decided to reorder them because of the 5-star reviews. Nail techs know that replacing bits can be very pricey so I figured I’d skimp on cost and buy these. BIG MISTAKE! Ok, so... Like the fact they’re extra fine which means you should have no problem removing the bulkiness of acrylic product as well as smoothing it after application. Wellllll...no. They’re extremely sharp and they’re small—extra risk for even the most seasoned nail tech because if you don’t think to season them before use (most bits don’t have to be seasoned) you could seriously injure a client and/or yourself. That being said, I’ve managed to use a couple (smoothing acrylic and using in cuticle area) but I don’t feel safe and will have to return the rest. They’re just too sharp and maybe they’re too fine; no matter the speed of my electric file, I find these bits drag and remove more product than they should, making my clients’ enhancements uneven and lumpy and I DO NOT like that. I will, however, keep the two I’ve used to remove gel polish and take down and thin out acrylic product prior to fill-in service but the others have to go back. When I first received them I tried one on my silicone training hand it almost mangled it so I can’t use these on myself and was skeptical about using them on clients. Even after seasoning them they’re dangerous; I don’t feel comfortable at all doing detail work around the cuticle or sidewalls with them. I’ve even washed them in the hopes they’d season out a bit more but it’s a no for me. Usually bits are washed and dried and soaked in acetone after use, but for first-time use I like to wash them throughly with warm, soapy water and disinfect them in the Marvy jar and allow to air dry. I won’t use them fresh out the pack if they’re colored bits like this one because they stain acrylic. I won’t soak them in acetone until after their first use and usually that takes some of the bite out of them but they’re still way too sharp for me. I did go back and order the large barrel in either fine or extra fine and I’ll give those a try. These small ones are just a little too unstable and unusable for me. Too difficult to use and as a nail tech, I try to work smarter—not harder. ... show more

It is very sharp I will only remove gel polish or bulk in a downward motion nothing around the cuticle because shes a beast cut my time to removing gel polish by alot alot very heavy duty would recommend to be experienced with e file before trying

Cation this drill bit is definitely for professionals and or individuals who is skilled with a hand drill. It is very sharp it will cut your client cuticles if not careful. It's well made and remove gel and acrylic well. I love it and I will order the safety version next.

I have not yet used this, but I saw tons of reviews stating how sharp this bit is. I would just like to say that it isn’t sharp at all, which leads me to believe it’s not a true carbide bit. I had to order a replacement for my other one I’ve had for years that broke when I dropped it, and THAT one was sharp because it was real lol. Anyways, only time will tell how this holds up but as of now, I don’t see a true nail tech being able to use this. ... show more

Great bit for the price and quality. I use this bit for helping shape my nails before and after each fill. I use the Azurebeauty Polygel to enhance my nails and needed a fine bit to help shape them since this product is lighter and easier to file compared to acrylic nail products. The only problem is the polygel cakes into the little groves of the bit and I need to clean it out often while shaping the nails but the bit puts a smooth finish on the nail instead of digging down and leaving big grooves in the nail keeping for a cleaner end result.
