With covid-19 running rampant it is very difficult to get to the salon to get your nails done. I have had to use nail extensions instead. My daughter is spending the summer doing some nail art and this little tool does the trick. It comes with a small amount of tacky putty and the metal fixtures are magnetic. The only drawback is I wish that the holder was a little heavier. The tool itself is short enough to fit underneath an LED light and the metal pieces are easy to clean after use. This totally gets the job done and I have been using it whenever I am making nail designs on my press on nails because I really like to make sure all designs are symmetrical and whatnot. However the magnets are kind of weak. the little putty that comes on it to hold the nails is great but I hate that the magnets are not strong. And it's not all of them it's only like some of them which I hate because you don't know which ones are weak ones until they fall over and your nail design gets destroyed. ... show more

I bought this set out of alllllll the sets like this on Amazon because it was advertised as “alloy” and acrylic (the plastic stand). However, the little nail stands aren’t metal, they are a cheap plastic just painted silver like every other set I’ve found on Amazon. False advertising stinks!! I’m only going to keep it because I need it right now. I intend on ordering a metal set on Etsy (they are sold out right now). I can see this breaking easily in just a few uses. The one positive is that the little stand is a tad wider on the bottom than on the top; I’ve heard a lot of people complaining that these little stands tip over easily, but I’m hoping that because of the shape that may be less of an issue. But I could be wrong, it’s possible that all of these types of stands on Amazon are the same shape, but I wouldn’t know as this is the first and only one I’ve purchased. All of the pieces themselves are also tiiiiiny (I do not have large hands!) but that seems to be the case with all of these sets. I will update my review if everything works out well, OR if something breaks, but as of this moment I’m not very impressed with this product. UPDATE: I've decided to return this junk and get my money back. There's no weight to this thing and I just knock all the pieces over constantly. The metal ones I got from Etsy are MUCH nicer, weighted, and only cost me another $6.00. Another thing to note is that the amount of putty pictured in the photos is more than I actually received. I only got six pieces (the picture shows at least 8). While you don't need a ton to use the nail stands a bit more would have been nice. I will have to go out and buy some more so I kinda wish this seller would have either included the amount of putty advertised or none at all - then at least I would have known that I needed to just order some on Amazon. ... show more

tested it out, it works, but then theres this circular magnet that sits on the surface of the clear acrylic stand so it can hold the nail stand down, but maybe the magnet was too strong, it stuck to the nail stand itself so i had to super glue the magnet down and it looks tacky
