  • Beginner's Luck! $
Advice to new airbrush users: Do your research! Learn how to properly clean, dissassemble/reassemble, and troubleshoot your airbrush. This will help you feel more comfortable working with your brush, and ensure you are using and caring for it optimally. My experience: I expected to be able to know all I needed from the instruction pamplet the kit comes with.. but it was really quite vague for a beginner, such as myself. I learned most of what I needed to know from online sources. (I highly recommend Don Wheeler's Airbrush Tips.) I was a bit disheartened after my first attempt at using this brush. It would not spray consistenly and the paint would bubble up and leak out of the cup. After reading and trying a few troubleshoots, I reduced the issue down to an air leak in the tip of the brush. You can temporarily seal this leak using beeswax.. but after much frustration and considering I spent quite a bit of $ on this instrument I decided to order a replacement. I was very pleased that the replacement came within just a couple of days. Amazon has an excellent returns policy that is super conventient. My replacement Paasche worked perfectly right out of the box! I absolutely love it and recommend it to anyone looking for a high quality yet affordable brush. Great Consistency! Awesome for intracate detail! Easy to use! Easy on the wallet! ... show more

  • Imperfect compressor, good airbrush
The airbrush itself is good, needs a lot of cleaning and maintenance as all airbrushes do but works fine. The compressor works, but is loud and experiences some leakage. I recommend using some electrical tape over some of the joins, which lowers the volume of the compressor and slows down leakage to a manageable level. ... show more

  • Good product. Good woks great.
Compressor works like a charm. Air on demand and auto shut off feature is amazing. Full pressure from the moment you turn it on. Airbrushing is solid and never falters. Light, VERY quiet and powerful enough for light work, but strong enough for large coverage. Easy to maintain and use. Great for beginners and pros. There are more powerful models, but this one is awesome. ... show more

  • Quality worth paying for
I purchased this kit with the intention of painting "Gundam/ Gunpla" models. I've always read good/ positive reviews for Paasche products. The airbrush is made of very good quality metal. It's made in the US. The compressor is great and automatically shuts off when it stores enough air or when it reaches max pressure, runs very quiet too. It may seem a little pricey at first but It's worth the investment. You'll actually end up paying close to $180 for the compressor alone at some Hobby stores. It's a great starter kit for any beginner or experienced user. Keep in mind that if you've never used a Dual action airbrush, START PRACTICING!The best thing about gravity feed style is the easy clean up. I suggest soapy water as paint thinner might damage any seals inside the brush. Hope you enjoy! ... show more

  • Good airbrush kit for the beginner get what you pay ...
Good airbrush kit for the beginner get what you pay for though be careful it can't be used for too long without heating up because there's no tank on it and once it starts heating up it'll actually start blowing water through the line because the moisture trap can't handle it pretty much my only real complaint with this air compressor kit is the moisture trap itself but all in all for the money I really can't complain at least it isn't burnt out on me yet but if you doing large jobs for Miniatures like Warhammer 40,000 or age of Sigmar or any other tabletop game like I am I most likely recommend spending a little bit more and getting an air compressor with a tank especially starting out no make it a lot easier for you in the long run ... show more

  • Didn’t include regulator and pressure gauge
The description states it comes with the D500SR compressor which includes the regulator and pressure gauge. The package I received came with the D500 compressor which doesn't include the regulator and pressure gauge. I contacted Amazon and they gave me a substantial discount on the airbrush and compressor package but I had to order the the regulator and pressure gauge separately and install it myself. So be sure you get the D500SR compressor with the package when you receive it. Everything works well and I'm happy with the package now. The compressor is very quiet. It emits just a low hum and shuts off automatically when not using the airbrush. Thanks Amazon for your quick reply and resolving my issue. ... show more

  • Frustrating at best / EDIT: but A+ Customer Service!!!
Good that it worked for a bit, but less than 90 days. Pump never registered more than zero psi on the gauge, but basically worked for a bit. Totally 100% useless now. Contacted the manufacturer, but am not optimistic. Airbrush is a _royal_ pain to clean and you'll need to do so often, thoroughly after each use. Takes a long time. Instructions / manual are _woefully_ inadequate, and that's putting it nicely. Parts don't have names or numbers or are completely omitted. It's a one page leaflet "manual" - WHY? It shouldn't be that way. We'll see what Paasche says, but for now take a pass on this purchase. This feedback may change if Paasche helps, but very upset now. ------------------------------------------------ UPDATE / EDIT: ------------------------------------------------ Mailed Paasche and explained the problem. The pump was fine. They immediately replied the next day, told me I probably had a faulty R-75 regulator and sent one to me. Received it two business days later. It came with an instruction sheet that the original kit did not. It helped a ton! Installed it and get at least 30 psi on the gauge, which is fine for me. If you need the regulator instructions, google "paasche r-75 regulator manual". Paasche: Please include the regulator model number and instructions with this kit in the future! Minimally at last include a list of replacement parts so that the buyer knows what they have. It would save everyone a lot of trouble. This is a very nice kit, just frustrating to get working and use without complete instructions. ... show more
