  • Recent purchase, So far all good.
This review is for the Timbertech ABPST08 compressor. Build quality looks to be excellent, worked fine out of the box. It's way quieter than I expected, having read several reviews suggesting that the noise may be irritating for some users. Takes a couple of minutes to fill the tank, shuts off automatically at the pressure setting. Although the manufacturer states the compressor is only to be used for airbrushing, I used it to fill a truck tire from around 15psi to 30psi (I have a slow leak that I can't locate!), to see if it was up to the job. It took about 6-8 minutes, during which time the pump ran continuously, and the motor was warm but not hot to the touch. This model comes with the motor fan which I strongly recommend. For the price I am well pleased with this model! Note that if you use NPT hoses or adapters, such as the 1/4 fitting on the Badger hoses, then you will need an adapter to convert from the 1/8" BSP thread on the compressor output. Search for "1/8 Inch Female BSP to 1/4 Inch Inch Male NPT" on Amazon to find the part. ... show more

  • Excellent Compressor for Airbrushing
Great air compressor that punches way higher than its pricepoint. It's quiet and durable. I think people will have trouble screwing their hose in though. If you have trouble, refer to the video another reviewer left on how to get it fully connected. Seems to get tough to screw on after a few turns but a pair of pliers should help get you the rest of the way. ... show more

  • Small and quiet. Appears well made
My wife and I were quite surprised at how quiet it was. It appears to be well made. My wife is going to use it for her airbrush. We haven't used it much yet and if there is a change in our opinion we will write a further review.

  • Good for the money. Very bad way to treat customers.
The next day I received that compressor it developed a leak right around the water trap transparent bulb. I emailed the seller Airgoo. They apologized but couldn’t replace the unit because they run out of stack. But they offered $20 for the air regulator replacement. It’s better than nothing. I tried to fix with epoxy, but this didn’t work at all and I ordered a replacement air regulator from the Amazon, and the tread sealer, of course all together cost me more than the $20. And I was not so happy about that. Then 2 weeks later I’ve got another email from the customer service of the Airgoo asking me if the compressor is working. I replied that it’s working, but I spent more than $20 on replacement parts. For my big and pleasant surprise they apologized and offered me a compressor with airbrush set without sending back my unit. Of course, I accepted such grateful offer. Who wouldn’t? Now back to the compressor. It’s very good. Since the replacement of the faulty air regulator/water trap it’s working well, holds the pressure, not getting hot, temperature of the motor and the compressor head got at about 40 C or 104 F after 30-40 on and off cycling. Noise level is relatively low. I measured the sound level with an app on my phone from the distance of about 40 cm/ 16 inches. The noise level went from ambient level of 38-40dB when compressor is off to 60-65db when it’s on. Not so loud. One more thing. No airbrush holder. I had to buy one. Easy to install, unscrew the big red nut, put the holder on, screw the red nut back. Update 07/21/2020. I received the promised set of compressor and airbrush. It was a dirty used airbrush. The compressor also seems to be used one. The handle is covered with some white substances like a dry paint, on the body of the compressor there are paint splashes. This is not the way you take care of your customer Airgoo Timbertech. Very disappointed. I was to generous given 5 stars at first. Sorry, but this is one star guys. ... show more

  • Very quiet, reliable, small tank.
It’s quiet, the small tank fills quickly and I don’t get any noticeable pulsing. It is a very small tank and motor, if you’re using your airbrush consistently the motor will run constantly as the motor can’t keep up and the tank doesn’t have much room. But it’s very affordable, especially compared to many of the recommended compressors for mini painting, so I’d definitely recommend it to anyone wanting to airbrush but nervous about spending a lot of money. ... show more

  • Lives up to company statements
This product pretty much worked out of the box. I only need to purchase a 1/4 in MIP x 1/8 in FIP bushing to adapt it to my airbrush. $3.00 at The Home Depot. The compressor kept up with my constant painting for over 30 minutes. I am very pleased with this product.

  • Nice and Quiet
Was using a 6 gallon compressor that was so noisy it was very distracting. This one is so quiet compared to that, sometimes I don’t even notice it kicked on. Great for airbrushing but I wouldn’t use it for anything else.

  • Nice affordable little airbrush compressor
Haven’t gotten to use this little compressor much yet, but so far I’m happy with it. It holds pressure well, is fairly small, and pretty quiet! For the price I’d definitely recommend it. I will update my review when I have used it more.
