Should I Buy It?

Yes, the product is an ideal choice if you are looking for a quiet, efficient, and reliable compressor for occasional to moderate airbrush work. Its affordability, quietness, and stable pressure delivery outweigh the challenge of dealing with a small tank and constant motor operation. This compressor provides an easy upgrade opportunity accompanied by great value for money.

  • One awesome air compressor
I purchased this for airbrush in my scale models. this compressor is small, very quiet. It works absolutely fantastic. It comes with a pressure regulator to set your pressure, water, separator to keep your air dry and the pressure gauge to know your settings. It fills up the reservoir tank and shuts off, always on demand but yet you don’t have to listen to it constantly run. ... show more

  • What a HONEY!!!
I had been using a 3-gallon pancake compressor from Harbor Freight and, while it got the job done for my airbrushing uses, it was incredibly loud. No way to use it without everyone in the house hearing it. And it rattled my nerves every time it cycled on, causing me to screw up at least a couple of paint jobs unnecessarily. Then I saw a product review online of this Timbertech unit by one of my favorite YouTube modeling pros and figured the time was right to jump on a new compressor. Man, am I glad I did! This unit is WHISPER QUIET! It takes up less room than my old compressor and, with the reserve tank, it doesn’t cycle on very frequently, so I can airbrush for several minutes without hearing ANY noise from it at all! When it does cycle on it makes about as much noise as an average aquarium air pump, if not less. Very consistent airflow at every setting, with no significant reduction in pressure while spraying. The pressure regulator works very smoothly and I can adjust pressure settings and lock the regulator easily with one hand. And that’s important when you’re balancing parts and an airbrush. Now for the negative…. I had quite a time trying to locate the proper couplers so that I could use my favorite airbrush, a Paasche Talon ( that has a proprietary thread design) AND my other airbrushes, which use standard fittings. For the record, the fitting on the Timbertech pressure regulator ( where you screw on your air hose) is 1/8 NPTB male, and should work fine with standard air hoses. If you use the majority of airbrushes available you probably won’t need any special adaptors or couplers to use them. I firmly believe that, for the price of this unit, considering as it includes a cool-down fan and a pressure regulator, not to mention a very low decibel rating, this is a HONEY of a deal! ... show more

  • Excellent Compressor for Airbrushing
Great air compressor that punches way higher than its pricepoint. It's quiet and durable. I think people will have trouble screwing their hose in though. If you have trouble, refer to the video another reviewer left on how to get it fully connected. Seems to get tough to screw on after a few turns but a pair of pliers should help get you the rest of the way. ... show more

  • Small but mighty: A Surprisingly Powerful Air Compressor with a minor quirky
I was genuinely surprised by how powerful this little air compressor is. I honestly didn’t expect much from something somewhat affordable, but it has exceeded all my expectations. It’s got the muscle to handle just about any task I throw at it, and it’s super easy to use. The only downside? Finding the right adapter to fit my airbrush was like going on a mini treasure hunt. That little hiccup keeps it from being a 5-star product, but it’s still a solid 4 stars in my book. ... show more

  • Good size for airbrushing - steady air rate and pressure
Good fit and finish, steady air pressure, adequate size tank matched well to adequate compressor capacity, relatively quiet ( 54 db at 3 ft on uncalibrated iphone reading using CDC app) NOTE: 1/8 BSP (British Standard Pipe) Male output. If you don't have a 1/8 BSP air hose then your airbrush requires a 1/8 BSP female x "Your Air Hose Fitting" adapter. 1/8 BSP does NOT fit Iron Pipe Size (IPS) , nor National Pipe Taper (NPT) nor National Standard Pipe (NPS). IPS, NPS, NPT is all you will find in US hardware and US big box stores. Airbrush supply, hobby shops and art supply may carry the BPS x BPS adapters. Save time and purchase the 1/8 BSP x "Your Airhose Fitting" when buying this compressor if your air hose isn't the 1/8 BSP provided. For example "Master Airbrush 1/8" BSP Male to 1/4" BSP Male Fitting Conversion Adapter Nipple, Connector for Airbrush Hoses and Compressors" works for my Iwata air hose. ... show more

Surprised by how quite this air brush compressor is! Everyone seems to complain about the lower prices compressors but this one was extremely quiet!
