The thing is accurrate to .03-.04 oz - that's 3/100 to 4/100 of an ounce. I wish it was accurate to 1/100, but for my usage I adjust. This is an almost immediate on, an immediate tare, and immediate weight based upon what slips out of my fingertips. Sometimes I have to choose between. 2.98 oz and 3.02 oz to have 3.0 oz, so I adjust. It is also easy to read with the display on a different level from the scale top. I also like that it reads negative when you remove and can see the original or latest tare. This is one of my most used kitchen gadgets, probably only 3rd to my chef's knife and cutting board. Great scale, excellent price, easy to use, perfect features, I would definitely purchase it again. Edit: having used it a while, I have to speak to the quality of the silver colored measuring surface. I must have put a hot pot on it, because it has bubbled. It is apparently a plastic surface with a VERY thin layer of silver foil on it such that the heat caused the adhesive to come loose. But I'd still buy it again. ... show more

My wife is a brittle Type I diabetic and I have to weigh everything. I look for accuracy, simplicity and a good range. In the past I’ve bought scales usually costing about $30, but thought I would try this one for $10. Though it is plastic, it is well made. It’s response is quicker than my last scale - which makes it easier to not overshoot. I have both a 50g and a 500g weight to check accuracy - this scale was accurate to the gram on both! On my off-again on-again quest for my perfect weight, I need to measure some of what I make to eat. (And then plug those numbers into Cronometer!) This scale does it perfectly. Auto-zeroes to subtract the weight of your container with just one touch so you know exactly what the contents weigh. Easy to use and comes with clear instructions. If you need a scale, you can spend 3 or 4 times the cost of this one, but why would you? ... show more

    • Feet Nonperformance - No Problem

I've owned this scale for about three years. The only problem I've had are that a few of the rubber feet have come off over time. I solved the problem using 10mm x 4mm (self-adhesive) rubber bumpers from Amazon's Eshanmu store. They fit perfectly into the molded recessed area for the OEM feet. Besides that, I've had zero problems with the scale in three years of nearly daily use. The scale is lightweight but rugged and accurate. For the price, it's a steal. Check the different prices on alternative colors if you want the best deal. I highly recommend this scale and would purchase other items from the brand based on my positive experience. ... show more

This is a nice and sturdy scale. The one I recently purchased is a replacement for the one that a coworker put into the commercial dish machine by accident and killed it. It fits well in my toolbox, very easy to use and lightweight. It doesn't use up batteries like crazy. I loved this scale enough to replace it with an identical unit. This is the second one of these scales I have owned. After a few years, I got the first one wet and it quit working. That was totally my fault. As I liked the scales, I bought the same model again. The scales is very easy to use and gives several unit options such as ounces, pounds, grams and kilograms. I particularly like the “tare” option, as this allows me to place a bowl on the pan of the scales, zero it out and weigh such items as flour, directly into the bowl. I have tested its accuracy by weighing a few store bought food items with known weights on the scales. I found that the weight of the item, shown on the scales, is very close to the weight listed on the box or wrapper. I do a lot of canning and freezing of garden products. I found that 13 pounds of tomatoes will fill enough pint jars tor a load in my canner. I can simply weigh my tomatoes and know when I have enough for the canner. I also use my scales when cooking. I have some recipes that give gram amounts, rather than cups. I simply use the scales and weigh my ingredients. These are just some of the many ways I have used these scales. I have found the readings to be accurate and repeatable. For such an inexpensive scales, this is very useful kitchen aid. Do yourself a favor and buy one. ... show more

I bought this, lime green, because it was recommended by Americas Test Kitchen when my old scale quit working. It works fine, easy to use and takes AAA batteries instead of those discs. So at least I usually have those around. Scale is very light, to the point of wondering if it will hold up. Fells a little flimsy, but if taken care of I think it will last. The lime green was significantly cheaper than some other colors. I don’t keep it out on the counter, so figured I’d save money! ... show more

    • Takes a beating and still works

This little scale is a champ. It does exactly what it's supposed to, end of story. We've been using it in my house (my teenage son more abusing than using it) daily since mid 2017 and it's still doing a great job. Super intuitive, small profile (we keep it on top of the fridge), and no unnecessary moving parts to fall off or break. I'm sure I'm jinxing myself and it will break tomorrow, but 5.5+ years for an appliance we beat up daily and that cost under $15 (can't remember exactly how much I paid back then) is pretty great.
