I need something stable that doesn't fall or move when I capture a video or photos of my products and this serves the purpose very well. The light is good, i have a few more lights to add brightness to my room. The wood I attached it to is very thick but I'm pleasantly surprised it fits.

The light feels like an afterthought - the light attachment is weird and not great and it burned out after less than two months of being used a couple times a week. As far as I can tell, there is no way to replace the led lights. But the overhead mount has been great. It was easy to put together, is fairly sturdy, and does just what I need to film my overhead art videos (I used additional external lights). I could see buying something more robust in the future, but this was a good purchase minus the light. ... show more

I got this phone mount to use for my videos, it makes it easier to do them hands free. The setup is fast took me about 5 minutes, it’s sturdy and won’t move. You can switch the phone holder and ring light and move them around to your liking which is amazing. The ring light itself has 3 different lightings and different intensities, it works with a USB cable so I was able to plug it to my power bank as well, meaning you don’t need to be next to an outlet. I’m really happy with the Pozliv Overhead Camera Mount with Ring Light. It’s been great for recording videos, especially when I need overhead shots for cooking and other projects. The product is great in theory but the execution leaves much to be desired. The light has three color settings and multiple brightness options which is great but even at max it is not super bright. The main problem is the size of the ring light and the placement. If you mount the light on top of the arm like is shown in the photos, the mechanical arm and your phone cast a big shadow right across whatever you're trying to photograph just like when you try to take the picture by hand which is what we're trying to avoid here in the first place. If you mount the light on the underside of the arm, as it should be, the ring itself gets in the way making taking pictures difficult and puts a big plastic ring around all your photos! The phone holding arm is built fairly well, especially considering the "sale" price of around $35. However, the piece that holds your phone connects to the arm with a twisting gear type of piece that is hard to make tight. Because of that my phone flipped a couple times while trying to stage my photos. This is frustrating because between trying to operate your phone camera, adjusting the arm and moving the power chord attached to the ring light- which is also a separate piece that you have to clamp on- you're likely to have to redo EVERYTHING and could trash your art in the process. Maybe I just haven't figured out the right way to use it but...I'm not super impressed. At least it wasn't super expensive. 🤷🏻♂️ ... show more
