This selfie ring light works well for my needs. I film short, informative videos for my business website and wanted to up the production values. This light works perfectly. It fits easily on my phone (a Samsung Galaxy) and does not leave scratches (which I had been concerned about). There are three levels of brightness. I can tell the difference between my earlier videos and the videos I've created since using the ring light. They are much improved. As a note, the light really is meant for being close to it. This ring light is a great product! It has 3 different settings of brightness that definitely help improve video quality. The only issue I have seen is that the battery life is relatively short, but it does recharge quickly in a USB port.

This product is easy to use & is very bright when needed, but it does die faster than I might like. I can leave it to charge until its green & use it once for a few minutes & when I come back to use it a few days later (even though its been turned off the whole time), its dead & has to be recharged. Honestly, it's about the same brightness as the camera flash on your phone, but it is useful for putting over a webcam on your laptop or just as a little light in a pinch. Does not substitute for real lighting at all, but it's dirt cheap compared to real lighting and can be used if no other option. You'd be better off just taking a desk lamp and shooting it at you if you using a webcam most likely. I guess after reading what I just wrote, I probably would not buy again, but still gave 5 stars cause I mean you get you pay for and the price was reasonable for what you get ... show more

With all of the videoconferencing I have been involved in recently, having my face show up clearly in the camera has been very important. I'm in a well lit room, but the light source is behind and above me, which leads to a shadow being cast over my face. A friend suggested this light and I decided to check it out. When it arrived, it was like night and day... Sorry I just had to go there, it was too easy. But really this is a good product. For my needs, it works fine on the first setting. It only lasts about 2 hours and requires a USB charge. It can be a little blinding, but you get used to it as the power goes down. I purchased this item in January 2021, it sat brand new in the package in my room for at least a month, before I decided to use it....Finally I decided to use it and walla it worked great, really bright light, helped me take excellent pictures....since it hadn't been charged it soon died, I put it on the charger all night long and the next day I tried to use it, and after one or two pictures it suddenly stopped working and hasn't worked since then, it's been on the charger all night and the light is still red, I've reached out to the seller got a big fat nothing {just as I thought}....It works great when it works, other than that, you get what you pay for, cause this thing is going in the trash..... ... show more

I originally bought this for my clothing store bc I didn’t want to pay too much for a light. This is not the product for clothing. Get an actual standing light. I still kept it bc I do live Instagram streams it and it really helps to brighten my videos and it’s work perfectly with smaller objects. I did photograph small pursed and jewelry with it that they are brighter than without the light. So I kept it for other uses. The only thing I do not like is that since the camera is on the right upper corner, if i need to get to access that part for my screen, I have to move the ring out of the way for me to exit photo, etc. But for what it’s advertised for (selfies) it’s great!
