The lighting set is a little confusing but the instructions are good so I got it assembled in a few minutes the way I wanted. I ended up using one of the clamp on phone holders to hold a USB-A charging pack for cell phones. That way I can power the light and move it around without messing with cords everywhere. I like that the light has three different color temps. I usually do some testing on the subject and shoot with all three temperatures just to see what the different colors show when I get back to my editing workstation. I think this would also work good for a selfie light as the description suggests because the stand can get really short, so it would fit on the top of a desk just fine. You can adjust the width of the feet at the base, so you can squeeze it in between stuff on a desk or table. Overall I'm happy with the purchase, this is a really inexpensive item and I feel it's also a great value. I am not a full time photographer or vlogger or anything but more of a hobbyist... and this light totally fits the bill! ... show more

It's cheaply made but the price is totally awesome. I just wish it came with a regular camera shoe on top of the light ring as well. But one was included that holds most smartphones. I just bought a threaded rod and some washers for using my GoPro hero 8 cam with it, and it works just fine. Pretty cool set up with lots of extras except for the cam shoe I needed. But I'm super happy considering the cost and how quickly it arrived. Hopefully they read this and include a double sided thread cam shoe for future customers cameras. Because I'm still married to using my GoPro and other cameras, for my personal video shooting preference. But I love the functions and extras and the choices of lighting options, and how easily it was to assemble. Overall I'm very happy with the purchase. ... show more

The light is bright, the tripod is sturdy, and I like being able to change the color temperature and intensity. The remote turned out to be incredibly useful. It's easy to pair to your phone and makes recordings look more professional. It drastically increased the quality of my videos when going up against people just using their basic webcam.     • Tripod fell and broke my phone

I have a Pixel 7 pro. This device struggles to hold the weight of my phone. I had everything tightened as much as possible and it was still struggling to hold my phone up and maintain a position. The light kept tipping forward and moving the camera angle. The brackets that hold your phone are flimsy and not strong enough, nor wide enough to hold a phone with a protective case around it. In order to try to get my phone to stay in the bracket, I took the protective case off. Bad choice. The tripod has a very poor locking mechanism (you have to twist it to prevent it from going up and down and it easily untwists while you're trying to adjust your camera angle). Long story short, I was trying to manipulate the light and camera and ended up accidentally twisting the center pole which made the tripod collapse in on itself. It dropped my phone and now my brand new Pixel 7 pro screen is destroyed. I like all the features that come with this, but it's not high quality. I create cooking videos and it's not great for a direct down angle on something you're working on. Better for filming something face to face or cross the room because of the angles. The feet on the tripod make it difficult to position the camera if you're using it up against a counter. I could not get the Bluetooth remote to work with my phone at all. Ok, so this product is in between being cheaply made and good quality. It's like the company that made these used a good quality paint but when you look closely it is definitely a cheap material. The light could be brighter in my opinion, but it does ok you just have to get closer to it if you need a brighter appearance of you or something else. As far as the (remote) goes, it is attached to the standby a wire. If you need to change the brightness or turn the device on or of you have to walk up to it and grab the so called remote. Again, the product is made of a cheaper material but painted with good industrial paint to give the appearance of a higher quality. Overall, it works fine and satisfies my particular needs so I would recommend. Just be gentle when moving it or changing positions so you don't accidentally break it.
