Update 3/29/2021: Light still works, but sometimes when I turn it on, it takes maybe 30 seconds to turn on. I've read other reviews saying the light stopped working. I haven't experienced that, but the light hesitancy to start up is concerning. Update 1/18/2021: Took off a star because the cold shoe mount for the camera is pretty much junk. I'm going to buy a descent one for around $30. It simply doesn't hold the camera at an angle. The camera will slowly fall. I suppose you can crank the screw down *really* hard (which is what I've resorted to), but that's a mechanical nightmare. It'll eventually lose all ability to hold in place if you have to crank down on the screw that hard. Overall, I'm still satisfied with the product. You should just know that the mount for the camera isn't the best. Original: Everything as I'd expected. Love the ability to control the color/warmth of the light. Great illumination. The tripod is sturdy. I'm able to mount my Canon Eos M50 Mark II on the light using the included hardware, which was important to me. The remote included for smartphone camera control is a little dinky in terms of form factor...feels super cheap. That said, it does the job. I didn't know or care that this product included a remote when I bought it, but it was like an added bonus to me when the package arrived. I likely won't use it much myself, but I tested it and it works! My main use is for conference calls and shooting some business videos/photos. For my needs, this has done the trick. I was a bit concerned because some reviews mention failure after a short time. I haven't experienced that, and will update my review if I do. ... show more

Little backstory this is my 3rd Neewer ring light in 2 year’s. I was hoping that maybe i just got a bad light & wanted to give the brand a chance but honestly its a terrible product. The ring part of the light is always loose & folding over which it shouldnt do. It doesnt matter how tight you make it it still will fall over & you better hope you’re fingers arent near it because ive gotten mine pinched a few times from just carrying the light, The light also never stays the height you’d like it to be. No matter how tight you make it the lights legs will still spread out over time while using the light ( I use it daily for 30 mins, it cannot stand up for 30 minutes….) Now finally the light itself just stopped working. The power button will come on & as soon as you turn press power the light short circuits & turns off & you have to unplug it from the power outlet & repeat until it decided to stay on overall very upset that these lights arent even built to last a year, If anyone has ring light recommendations that i wont have to purchase yearly please lmk!! ... show more
