We bought one set of these for camping and enjoy them more than expected!! The kids love the music/voice control setting, as well as choosing different colors or patterns each night. I purchased a second set, after our first camping trip, and I was so glad I did!! The second set connects easily to the original set by removing one sensor and plug, which is simple, and removing the cap on the end of the other strand. That way, one remote will control the entire strand of lights, and the colors and patterns work together, like one large strand!! During our second trip, a major thunderstorm developed (torrential rain with flooding, high winds, possible large hail, and possible tornadoes), and I even left the campsite, because of it, which I rarely do. When I returned, I discovered the lights were still working great, so they are definitely weatherproof and durable!!! I purchased a timer, so they turn on and off automatically each night. When they turn back on, they go to the last setting (color/pattern), when the lights were turned off, which is great! The brightness is perfect for our needs, and I could see the pretty lights shining through the trees, when I was walking along the road, after dark. I received many compliments from other campers in the area, too. Some colors are brighter than others, and they did light up our entire campsite, which was large, but the individual bulbs aren’t as bright as lanterns, in case that’s what you are needing. (Be sure to increase the brightness, in case the setting was low.) I bought tree hooks to hang the lights, since we use them for camping, and it was so easy to set up and take down the lights, using the hooks!! The strand has loops on the top of each bulb, so you can hang them easily on hooks or nails. Each set comes with a remote and an extra bulb. Batteries are not included for the remote. There isn’t a way to change the light settings without the remote, but the sensor does remember the last setting, in case the remote is misplaced. Obviously, since I bought a second set, I highly recommend these! I bought a similar set, which I thought would be the same thing, but the quality wasn’t as nice as the Gana sets. ... show more

First off, this is a set that is delivered so it can be plugged in to an AC (outlet) power supply, and the power block converts it to low voltage 12V DC for the light wiring. However, cutting off the power supply end of the wiring exposes the thin white/black wires which could then be tied directly into my low voltage landscape transformer. Light flickering is not noticeable in evening light when the timer powers them on. My pics show the result of a 1 hour project to hang the lights over the fireplace patio. Umm, that was after 20 minutes of untangling them from the box ;). After installing, I cut off about 12 feet of lights from the tail end of this set, as it was that much longer than needed for the patio. That doesn't affect the lights. Light intensity - both color and brightness - is important to me. I have multi-depth landscape lighting around the house and I didn't want the fireplace patio lit up like a dance floor. Rather, I wanted cozy light ambience that allows you to see the faces of those you're talking to without blinding you as you look around. I also didn't want them hanging from the main wire by another wire like some sets. That would have lowered them too far for my use. As is, they are exactly where I want them. The effect I was aiming for was accomplished well with this set. Quality -- These aren't just cheap plastic bulbs. When you get them, you will likely think they are glass. That's how good the bulb material is. I had to be very careful to not drag them around on concrete parts of my patio walls because I didn't want to mess up the finish. All of the bulbs worked fine, and there's an extra one included with the set. When you include the ones I cut off, I now have 5 extra bulbs. I'm really happy with the results of this quick project.     • The included adapter is weird

When I first plugged the lights in to test them, I thought they were broken. I had just received them and was already starting the return process on Amazon when suddenly they turned on. I unplugged them and tried again, and again, they didn’t turn on at first. It’s like the adapter has a 5 second delay. Luckily I bought them to rewire into my rv’s 12v system without the included adapter. Once I hard wired them, they turn on instantly like they should. So the included adapter is just a little strange, or was for me at least. Otherwise these are perfect for what I need (so far). ... show more

Lights work good for about 2 months and then they just quit. I’ve bought 2 sets and customer service for these lights are a joke. Not waterproof not durable. I live the RV life full time and these are very disappointing.

Lights work great and have lots of color options/modes. Installed (3) 48 ft string lights around the perimeter of the backyard fence and it took my yard to the next level. Customer service was great as well I actually had to reach out for help and they were extremely helpful and responsive.
