I normally don’t write reviews. However, if I could give this pressure cooker a 10 out of 5 stars I would. So far I’ve cooked a whole chicken, beans and rice, working on baby rack ribs, and a few other things. The best feature is all dishes I’ve cooked have taken no more than 1 hour. I have yet to try vegetables, but parsnips are in the near future as are beats. Only criticism would be to invest in some kind of trivet to keep the meat you’re cooking out of the liquid. This multifunctional cooker from Our Place really is a dream! I've been an Instant Pot user for years, but this cooker seriously blows my IP out of the water. On first look it's beautiful and definitely worthy of being left out on the countertop for everyone to see, but that's only where the goodness begins. I love that the setup is easy and streamlined. My IP has buttons I've never even thought of using. In fact in nearly tens years of owning them I've never used a preset. With the Dream Cooker there's none of that fluff. You're the cook and you're in control. You can saute/sear, slow cook, pressure cook, and warm/or keep things warm. The outer body is a gorgeous slate blue color with a subtle texture that resists fingerprints. The control panel is clear, easy to read and very responsive to touch. The inner pot is 6 quarts and lines with a lovely non-stick coating that ensures even the most baked on of BBQ sauces releases immediately. The lid remains cool to the touch even when the pot is fully heated and pressurized. The lid fits conveniently into the side handle of the pot to keep it out of your way, off your countertop but still close at hand. On the lid is an easy to use manual pressure release button or you can allow the device to naturally release its pressure. During pressure cooking the device automatically releases bursts of pressure to maintain the ideal levels within the cooker. In my experience "perfect pasta" is one of the most difficult things to cook in a pressure cooker. It's so easy to end up with noodles that are either over or under cooked. With that in mind I decided to test the Dream Cooker out by cooking up a pound of macaroni noodles and they came out absolutely perfect. They cooked fully and retained a nice chew with the bouncy resistance of perfectly done pasta. If you're looking for a user friendly countertop multi-cooker that is well built, thoughtfully designed, beautiful to look at, versatile, and does a fantastic job then I absolutely recommend giving the Our Place Dream Cooker a try! Yes, it costs more than an IP, and no, it doesn't have a bunch of presets (that most of us never use), but in my opinion this is simply a superior device to the traditional IP, and worth every single penny! *To make "perfect" macaroni in the Our Place Dream Cooker add in one pound of uncooked pasta, a big pinch of salt (optional), a tablespoon of olive oil, and enough water to just cover the pasta. Turn on the cooker, set the pressure to high and the cook time to 1 minute, and hit the power button to begin the cooking process. When the cooker beeps to let you know it's finished just turn the device off by long pressing the power button and then allow it to release pressure naturally for 2 minutes. After the 2 minutes release the remaining pressure manually by holding down the button in the middle of the top and when the pressure pin drops you can drain and dress your pasta as desired. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I read the manual fully before use. I followed every instructions as I was so excited about this tool. I has chipped so badly that I can concerned about the coating that I undoubtably ate in the meals I prepared. I only used the utensils deemed safe by the manual. I did not put anything into the dishwasher. I carefully hand washed the appropriate pieces. I’m so disappointed and I’ll be returning this. ... show more

Impressive capacity Save time and money Easy to use Quick clean up Modern, attractive design Versatile My wife used the pressure cooker to prepare chicken leg quarters. Yumm! They turned out great. She kept it on keep warm. Our old pressure cooker worked fine, but it was time to upgrade. This one does more, holds more, looks better and cleans easier than the old one. Because it holds more, you can buy larger cuts of meat when it goes on sale, saving money, or prepare more food at one go, saving time. It is large, so if space is in short supply, you’ll have to weigh it out. Also, this isn’t cheap, but it does much more than just a pressure cooker too. Consider it 4-in-1 and that may help justify this purchase. If you have a big family, have guests over often for dinner or just like to cook and experiment with different soups, stews, meats, vegetables, grains, lentils and beans, this is an excellent tool. Construction, design and materials are top notch. It’s simple, efficient, modern and made to last. It’s lighter than it looks too. I think it’s a good value for what you get. You get a lot for the money. We just got it so we haven’t had a chance to use the sauté/sear mode, but surely will. Looking forward to homemade soups, stews and so much more!
