This unit has been great, but customer service is the star of this review. 1. The unit is very solid and provides consistent power across all outlets. No matter the device, from sensitive electronics to my portable refrigerator/freezer (shout out to ICECO), this solar generator is great and lasts for a VERY long time. With the LifePo4 battery chemistry, this will not be an explosive threat like the lithium/ion batteries, and will literally last 10 times longer, with a minimum of 2,500 cycles before it gets to 80% efficiency (that is almost 7 years if charged and discharged on a daily basis!) 2. For the solar panels that came with the unit, they are rated at a maximum of 100 watts per panel in a “perfect” environment. I know not to expect 100% efficiency, but I would like around 70-75% efficiency. These panels in direct afternoon sun in Phoenix AZ are maxing out at 57 watts each, for a combined total of 114 watts from two 100-watt panels. Not pleased with the output of these panels. 3. Customer service is amazing. I have been an avid shopper with Amazon for more years than I would like to admit. I have contacted customer service via email, phone and chat, and this company (Oupes) answered my first email with 24 hours and continued to follow up almost daily until my issue was resolved. There was a defect on the 12v side of the unit, and after troubleshooting, they immediately sent a return label and then sent a new unit 2nd day FedEx. These guys were awesome, and I appreciate everything they did to help get me back up and running. Bottom line, there may be many options for solar generators, but when you couple the power, quality and output of this unit with the stellar customer service (very hard to find in any company), I suggest you gives Oupes a try. You'll never see this until you read the manual. The manual on page 8 says: : "Please use our standard solar panels and adapters to charge the device, otherwise the device may not charge normally. In severe cases, the lifespan will be reduced and the device may be damaged due to a short circuit". The solar panels Oupes offers are $250 per 100 watt unit. So if you wanted the maximum charging capacity with solar it would cost you an additional $1000 for (4) 100 watt panels. In addition, fast charging with the wall charger requires the purchase of an additional wall charger at $130. Solar panels can be had these days for about $100 per 100 watt panel. I contacted Oupes and they said: "We are not saying that other brands of solar panels cannot charge the power station, but that according to customer feedback, Renogy's solar panels may have compatibility issues. Of course, there are also customers feedback that they can use the Renogy solar panel normally." Too bad the manual isn't clear on that. I now have to buy adapters so my MC4 connectors will work with the 7909 sockets in the box. Other than that it's a heavy unit but works OK. Priced right on Amazon. Came extremely well packaged. The two wall chargers I have took about (2) hours to top off the battery from 58% (as advertised) Tip: when using the chargers lay them on their side for maximum air flow since they get VERY hot putting out 383 watts total. ... show more

WOW! ordered this 3 or 4 days ago, I live in south carolina, & it's here already, WOW she's big but still lighter than led acid which I have to use hand truck to move, 64% charged, So tried an experiment to charge with 100ah lithium battery instead of buying their solar panels & it charges fine- intake 187 watts from battery, it's easier for me to charge batteries in sun than generator, but mostly I just wanted to know if power goes out or government shuts down I can do it this way, Love it just ordered 1200 watt generator , also I went to oupes site & ordered an extra charger because you can use both chargers at once to fully charge in half the time ... show more

I have been charging this unit for 5 hours now just using my wall plug. Sitting at 65%. Probably takes 7-8 hours for a full charge.
