Fast shipping. Installed the OtterBox case on my iPad and there are 2 layers of protection. Usual OtterBox high quality. There is a cover that snaps of the case of the iPad to protect the display and also acts a a stand. Don't hesitate to buy. Highly recommended.

Bought this case for my son who is extremely hard on his devices (he cracked the screen of this iPad the first day when it was in a different "rugged" case). This one is sleek enough that he doesn't feel like he's carrying around a case meant for toddlers and it isn't too bulky. The stand options in the front part of the case are nice, although he doesn't seem to use them much. I would if it were my case, although it would be nice to have more than two angle options). The apple pencil holder in the front part of the case works well to keep the pencil in pace and works with my off brand pencil. The screen protector doesn't hinder him in the way (any my son is very picky about that). My only issue with this case is the thin piece of hard plastic that covers the pencil charging side of the tablet —the piece that hinges up to reveal the charging pad—keeps coming off. I was impatient when I ordered the latest 2024 iPad Air M2 model. Otterbox did not have a case specifically for it when I received the iPad and I know my tendency to drop electronics (and everything else), so I ordered this one knowing it may not fit. Well, it does fit with the exception of the camera that faces the user (never could decide if that is the forward or rear camera), in that it blocks that. Since I hardly ever use the camera on all the iPads I have owned, I don't care. I figure I could break out the Dremel and cut it down if so inclined, but I'm not. The only port needed is the USB C, and the power button opening fits perfectly. If you want to cheap out and order the older model Defender for your new iPad Air, now you know how it will fit. ... show more

As usual, this OtterBox will do a great job of protecting your expensive electronics. I have trusted OtterBox for as long as I have had iPhones and Tablets and after many drops, I have never had so much as a scratch on any of my products. My son worked in an amusement park and one of his coworkers accidentally left his OtterBox protected iPhone on the seat of a ride that he was working on. The ride is a tall tower that abruptly launches riders straight up around 100 feet. When the coworker pushed the button to test the ride, he noticed something flying in the air when the ride got to the top of the tower and realized that it was his iPhone. He watched the iPhone bounce several times on the asphalt and fully expected his phone to be broken and dead, but, to his surprise, despite some dents and dings in the OtterBox, his iPhone was fine. OtterBoxes are strong and do their job well. The reason I gave this OtterBox 4 stars is because it is thick and bulky when compared to the one I have on my iPad Air 2. When I use my iPad Air 2, I snap the cover onto the back of the case and it is very comfortable to hold in my hands. With my iPad Air 5, I now leave the cover off because it is so thick also the cover for the iPen (I don't use one) seems cheap and flimsy and while the OtterBox case is strong, I fear that one day the iPen cover may break. ... show more

    • Four years of OtterBox and I am so impressed!
This is my third OtterBox protector as I just purchased it for my new 2020 iPad Air 4. I bought one with my first iPad in 2017 and have used it for four years and also one for my iPhone 6s Plus at the same time. My iPad fifth generation still looks brand new with not one scratch because of the OtterBox… honestly these are built like a tank… and I have taken it to work every day for the last four years and I work in a bit of a rough postal environment. I also love the silicone/rubber shell because as you know iPads are very slippery and with this shell you can prop it up anywhere which I do a lot when I’m sitting on the couch or in bed and it doesn’t slip or slide. So this week I just spent another $113 for an OtterBox protector for my brand new iPad Pro 12.9 inch which I have not received yet. I have looked at all the tablet protectors out there and there are none that compare with the OtterBox. Don’t let the price scare you… if you plan to keep your iPad for a long time in pristine condition these protectors are so wonderful and so worth it! Just so you know I am a 72-year-old little old lady which doesn’t really matter but I think it’s nice to know what kinds of people are using these things! ... show more
