Obtained this bar for repairing a .VW 2.0 TSI engine that skipped time. This bar was required to keep the engine supported so the engine mount could be removed to take off the lower timing cover on a traverse mounted engine in a VW Tiguan. Very well built. The rubber type feet that set on the inner fenders were a little slippy, but I attribute that to the way the Tiguan front slopes down. This engine support bar is extremely strong and sturdy. I bought it to support my engine while replacing my engine mounts and it worked perfectly. There was plenty of clearance for me to work while still being able to raise and lower the engine as much as needed. This thing is built like a tank, it was a bit of effort just to pick it up. I have zero fear about it failing to hold up the engine while I am under it.
