This is my second Oru kayak — I came back for a tandem because I love my first one (an Oru Bay) so much and wanted to add to the fleet. This goes together pretty quickly (the first setup always takes more time—do it at home so you can go through step by step. I will say that assembled the Haven definitely feels more robust given its size and the rigid crossbar. I’ve used it in “single” mode as well. It tracks nicely and doesn’t feel too heavy or unwieldy. I ordered this product via ORU on Amazon. Just received today. When I open up the box, the first thing I noticed is that there are a lot scratches and folding marks on the outside of the Kayak before it is unfolded. When I took a closer exam, a clear hole is found on the bottom of the Kayak as shown in the picture. There is no way that this type of damage can be caused by handling in shipment. It is likely a previous returned Kayak that is shipped to new customer without careful inspection. This is just a very bad experience considering that I have been thrilled to get my first Kayak to bring my daughter on water. ... show more
