So, I got this for the reason based on reviews. I did get the large size one and it fits. Not tightly though. I think it should be tighter. I have compression shirts that fit tighter. And those suck taking on and off. The belt is a great solution to that problem. I do think it could be tighter. Maybe the next size down. Going to show my doctor and ask them what they think. It is soft and does hold up. I'm on day 3 of using it. So I will update after a longer usage. ... show more

    • Good but……very difficult to get on and fasten in the back when your alone.

This is a comfortable belt, but the huge mistake is not having option to fasten it in front. If your older it is to difficult to fasten in front and try to turn the entire belt so the pad is on navel. Why would you make something that you can’t fasten it in the front? So had to find another one that would be easier for older person to put on. Trying to find a cool comfortable navel belt is very difficult. With temps in the 90’s and needing it to play golf, it is to hot to put t-shirt under it. The size, width is perfect. ... show more

    • Finally relief! Works VERY well at holding in my protruding hernia.

Upon finding out that the extreme pain in my stomach area was a hernia I quickly ordered a few of these hernia support belts from Amazon. Because I wasn't sure exactly what I needed I made sure to order a few different styles of the hernia support belt. Three months later I have had an opportunity to try all of the different support belts. At 6” wide this particular support belt worked very well for me. I found that this belt did not bunch up on me while sitting. Because the belt would wear against my skin in various places I started to wear the belt over a t-shirt. My hernia is the type that protrudes, therefore I need a support belt that will hold the hernia in place thereby preventing extreme pain. This belt offers the support that I need. It has 4 different velcro settings on the back to tighten the belt. I discovered that the belt need not be super tight to work. In fact, it is probably better not to wear the belt as tight as it will go. Finally, this belt features a removable hernia compression pad which helps to hold the protruding hernia in place. The compression pad with this belt is removable enabling you to use it with other belts. Of all the different support belts that I purchased this one was the most comfortable to wear and did the best job to completely alleviate the extreme pain that I was having from my hernia. I still have not had the hernia repair surgery so I am reliant on these support belts to prevent the horrible pain that I was experiencing.     • Hard for one person to put it on.

It works great for the hernia. But putting the belt on is a little difficult. The velcro is in the back so if you're alone, you have to put the belt together in front and then slide the belt around to get a hernia pad where should be. I use the second velcro settings. Sliding the belt around tends to rolls the extra part of the belt. Making it uncomfortable. The velcro tends to hang over the edge of the belt just enough to be against the skin, very uncomfortable. It's still the best hernia belt I've used so far. ... show more
