The hospital provided me with a velcro binder when i had my Incisional hernia repair. I was told to wear it always except while sleeping. The main problem is this binder would roll up after a period of time resulting in no support for the repair area. I would wash it every other day to reduce itching. This product is very supportive, lightweight, and comfortable. It is wide and covers from the lower rib cage to the lower waist and should always be worn over a t-shirt. The only issue I had is that since it is so wide, it took a little time to put on and adjust.

I like the product. It covered the area needed and it was comfortable to wear. I did like the thickness of it. However it was described as having support to prevent rolling or bunching. It did not and the rolling was quite uncomfortable. It was not thick enough to prevent rolling or bunching. I had to add my own stays to the garment. Once i did that, the garment performs as expected and comfort level improved dramatically and the thickness was no longer an issue. ... show more

I had an emergency appendectomy and I bought this to help bind the area after.. I'm not new to these binders. Had one or two from my precious Cesareans. This binder is filmsy as &*^#. It's worthless and does absolutely NOTHING to support the abdomen area. It felt like wearing loose , rough paper around my abdomen. Binders are meant to support the area and help keep everything snug and intact so to prevent you from moving awkwardly or lacking stability in your core muscles due to lack of support. The whole purpose is to hold your abdominal area taught so that there is less pain, less sudden movements and more stability to help you heal. This was considered medical grade? Really should be removed off Amazon or atleast labeled properly because my waist training cinchers provide more support than this. I used it once and took it off immediately because it was painful to wear and lacked support. Don't buy it. I'm usually a pro with these binders/cinchers. It's not even passable as a binder. This does provide great compression during my Diep flap reconstruction; however the material was extremely itchy on my bare skin which actually irritated my surgical area. Because of the positioning of my drainage tubes, I was not able to comfortably wear shirts to try and assist with this problem by wearing the binder over the shirt; so I ordered another brand that worked wonders!!! ... show more

Great delivery. It arrived the next day. Was purchased for a friend with 5 broken ribs. Hospitals no longer wraps ribs. Due to lung damage, he was having worse pain with every cough. Band gave good relief during the coughs. The 10" length is perfect as a shorter band wouldn't have been adequate.
