I highly recommend this product for an umbilical hernia. The sizing is a little off. I have bought both the large and small. I should fit into the large but it was getting too loose and the boning was hitting me in the wrong spot. I went back and get to the small and it's much more comfortable. The boning is no longer jabbing me in the side and instead sits at my back where I assume its supposed to sit. Even with the small I can make it tighter or loose as needed. I would imagine this would be hard to fit if you were actually small (im post partum with twins so a small should not be the right size). ... show more

Best belt I have found, the silicone ball that's inside to hold the hernia has been a life saver. Extremely comfortable and you can't see under clothes. Other reviewers mentioned that the corner of the belt irritates their skin, I did notice it's a bit scratchy on one corner, I just fold that corner so it's not touching my skin and that solved the problem. Honestly the discomfort of a hernia outweighs that minor issue. This is a quality product and I would buy again if need be, but I see this belt lasting a long time. ... show more

Overall this works as intended. But you do need to wear a t-shirt or cami against your skin with the band on top of it or the edges of the band may irritate your skin.

I was diagnosed with a umbilical hernia when I went to ER in pain, moving around hurt but once I ordered this belt and used it I was able to move without the pain until my surgery.

    • Cut into me and the bone rib inserts hurt my sides and back

This looks very good but looks are deceiving. The 3 bone inserts cut my back and sides and hurt me. This did not support me. After it hurt so bad, I pulled it off and hrow it a way. The bad thing is I bought 4 of them thinking it would help me with my hernia. 1 star rating.
