This is my first Laser, but I dove in with the 100W. Both my grandfather and father had their own shops so I'm good making things the old fashion way. I like the operations overall, but find documentation and information sketchy in parts like others have said. At the price, I would think there should be more to it or upgrades that could be purchased. The hardest part I had was finding the available bed space. Using searches and watching videos helped me map that out. Having X/Y measurements and stops would be great to have as part of the product. I'm still working on adding my upgrades for the bed. The hardest thing you'll have to do if you're just starting out is how to identify where your laser should start at and where to place your work piece. ... show more

    • Excellent performance backed by excellent service
I purchased this product in December of 2018. Setup, install and operation have been exceptional. Product power and accuracy are as advertised. After 7 months of operation a water pressure/flow sensor (to assure cooling water flowing before powering up the laser) sprung a bad water leak. Fortunately the sensor was mounted at the back & bottom of the chassis below any mechanics or electronics. Anyway, I reached out to the vendor and they responded immediately and sent a replacement sensor within 3 days. I have not installed it, but I assume it will work.     • Havent been able to use the product and I have owned it for a year.
I purchased this last December and I have yet to be able to use it. I have purchased a new power supply, new laser tube, and had to replace main power jack.

    • All of these chinese lasers are the same. On your own after purchase. Good for tinkerers and DIY
If you are willing to tinker and adjust and maintain, a good buy. If you want a turnkey machine with great support, you should look into more expensive options like glowforge (yuk) First a few thoughts on the machine: Good compromise in build size vs the 130W. 20x28" is way more than most people will need. You don't need a motorized z axis or auto bed leveling. they sound great, but they are not worth the price I promise. The laser will be mostly aligned when you get it but if you want the laser to work most efficiently, you want to find a guide called "reverse laser alignment". the guys explaination of aligning the mirros to the rails vs the center of each mirror is important (you DONT need to spot the laser in the direct center of each mirror, only the LENS needs to be dead center). There are plenty of facebook groups etc you can get support and ideas from. So for the next part, Manufacturing support: I bought from amazon vs OMTech or ebay since I have a bit more buyer protection in case it was damaged in shipping or on arrival. OMTech is a reseller of these generic machines after they arrive from china. You cant go wrong with these tanks but if you aren't expecting to tinker on your own to get things right, or make your own repairs, this can be a pricy mistake. OMTech is becoming very popular as a source for these, but they cannot currently keep up with support requests and warranty requests. If you have a broken lasertube upon arrival you may be out of luck and on your own for weeks. they may simply refund you the cost of a tube, and you'll have to buy and install on your own.     • No Power and No Customer Support
After following the guide for installing the laser tube and setting up the machine I can not get the laser to "light up" when I press the "Test" button on the power supply. To make matters worse I cant seem to find any email or phone numbers to reach out for assistance.

This laser works great and is fantastic value compared to the name brand lasers on the market. There is a slight learning curve though, so this may not be for you if you don't want to do the work to understand the software and hardware.
