Features

  • [DURACORD ROPE]: Synthetic blend that is soft as cotton with durability of polyester. This rope is All-Weather and resistant to impurities. DURACORD is the densest rope on the market resulting in less stretch and increased support when relaxing.
  • [OAK SPREADER BAR]: The spreader bars are hand-dipped in marine-grade varnish for exceptional look and longer outdoor life.
  • [DOUBLE-LATCH WEAVE]: A lattice design were the rope pulls against each other eliminating the need for knots within the rope bedding. We use 15 percent more rope than most of our competitors providing a sturdier hammock bed for complete relaxation.
  • [ZINC PLATED HARDWARE]: We plate all our hardware, with zinc to protect against rust and ensure an overall longer outdoor life.
  • [HANDCRAFTED IN THE CAROLINAS]: Manufactured and assembled using the finest parts and industry leading techniques.

  • Comfy, attractive and sturdy hammock
Color: Oatmeal
I love our hammock! It is such a relaxing way to enjoy the outdoors! Well made and very comfortable. The attached S hooks and chain allows you to adjust the height. It is a wonderful addition to our backyard.

  • LOVE THIS HAMMOCK!
Color: Oatmeal
We usually put the hammock outside. My husband put this one on our screen room on a whim. The grandkids enjoy it so much there and so do we. No bugs, no rain, no birds bother us now with it on this room. It is very well made, and it fits the LL Bean hammock stand we have had for years. We are 75, and the other hammock we had purchased kept throwing us on the ground. I put that one on the side of the road in front of the house and someone else younger than us can deal with it! (It was gone in 5 minutes.) If you need a hammock, just spend the money and get this hammock. It is worth it. ... show more

  • Great quality, lasted 10 years
Color: Oatmeal
Loved this hammock. Comfortable rope, creamy color weathered to a good neutral. Not inexpensive, but lasted 10 years under oak trees with zero protection. Hammock itself is still fine, but one of the spreader bars eventually broke/rotted. It did occasionally get hit by large fallen tree branches, so that may have been a contributory factor. Going to try a cheaper one this time, but suspect it won't be as good and we'll be back for another of these. ... show more

  • One year in direct Southern California sun..... Perfect
Color: Brown
This weekend I was l laying in my backyard hammock when it dawned on me that I've had it for just about one year now and, as my eyes scanned every nuance of it, I realized that it looks as if it came out of the box yesterday. I live in the Los Angeles area and it reaches 100 degrees for almost 3/4 of the year. This hammock sits in a stand year round with no shade or cover whatsoever. It is still pristine. Kids play on it, grownups sleep on it, couples lay on it..... it gets used a lot. There's not even a loose knot. The wood separator thingies (actual name) are still nice and shiny and smooth. The Duracord material still looks and feels just like cotton with no wear or fading. That's all. It just struck me that I've been through 3 hammocks and just thought they all wore out. But this one didn't. You can definitely feel confident that you're investing in a nice product that will last. ... show more

  • Overall, a great value!
Color: Oatmeal
I recently purchased this hammock for my parents to replace the one they currently had. They had left the previous hammock out in the rain, and some interesting growth was forming on the rope. I bought this particular hammock in the hopes that the Duracord would perform as promised- it would still look good after being left outside. It delivers on its promise and is still very comfortable! That being said, I do not find the Duracord to be quite as comfortable as the previous cotton cord hammock- the cotton was a softer material. The softness is not a huge deal, though, because the Duracord maintains its appearance nicely. I was also surprised to find that when I went out to the hammock after a heavy rainfall, the Duracord material was as dry as if it had been baking in the sun for the past 2 days. Outside of the Duracord material, I found this hammock to be nicely constructed overall. Some of the knots appear to be a little sloppy in how they were tied, but these knots are in an out of the way area of the hammock, so It'll be all right with no one or nothing messing with it. The wooden bars are nicely protected from the elements with the coating they put on it. Quick Recap: Pros- Awesome Duracord material looks nice, stays dry Solidly constructed hammock overall Cons- Duracord material not quite as soft as previous cotton hammock some knots are a little sloppy in how they were tied Overall Opinion- Great Hammock, definitely worth the cost! ... show more

  • Hammock
Color: Oatmeal
We love our Pawleys’s Island hammock! It is well made and holds both my husband and I. It has plenty of room and doesn’t sag to the ground and I’m not to heavy for me to move. We are very happy!

  • Top of the line, excellent - used entire summer
Color: Oatmeal
Absolutelty top-notch. I left it out in rain, shine and fog for 6 months now. Don't have the energy to get it inside each time it rains (and oh boy, did it rain this summer in Dallas!). Each time sun shines back, my hammock is as great-feeling, as shiny and as taut as new. This weekend I had a party in my backyard, and my guests turned on the rough heat a little bit - they were even using it as a swing, three adults at a time. I was a little concerned, but at the end it was as if nothing happened. Kind of the feeling you get after you complete your first cross-state long drive with your Honda or Toyota - you are concerned whether your car is OK, but that trip was not even as much as a dent on its mind-boggling robust engineering. Pawleys rocks! Mine and my wife's inexperience at the beginning resulted in a very scarily tangled up knot - all the hammock's ropes seemed to be tied to evry other piece of rope and passing through every other hole. But we slept on ot for a night, and gave it another shot next day. An intricate amount of mathematical calculations saved the day, and the hammock was straight again. It was us to blame in the first place - be careful to handle the hammock the right way. While rolling up, use the wood bars at the ends as anchor. Do not try fancy styles or get inattentive while rolling it up or down. ... show more

  • Very comfortable
Color: Oatmeal
It’s only been up for a few days so I’ll edit throughout the years. Hopefully it lasts that long! I found the duracord to be very soft and relaxing, not waxy or cutting in any way
