UPDATE July 22, 2020 - latest purchase. Wonderful except I almost told USPO to take it back when a woman behind me in line offered to take it to my car. I did not go to Post Office to retrieve this item but to mail seeds from China. I could not lift box and had a real struggle dragging it from my car. Probably will try to purchase any additional Origami units from a different entity (I walk with a cane) or have it automatically returned to Amazon if not delivered by UPS or other carrier. This, however is a lovely unit. I now have 7. UPDATE May 6, 2020 Recently purchased 2 more in rose gold for my loft; these appear more pink - which I prefer anyway - and look wonderful. The wheels were included but not assembled which I prefer. I bought these to hold smaller books so that my coffee tables are not loaded down with books I frequently read and refer to. I already have in a steel color similar to stainless, 3 in my kitchen (which is tiny but not a galley) to hold additional pots, pans, and other items so that they are more accessible, and another in my great room which holds large art books. At one time one could purchase magnetic liners which are wonderful for books but the last time I checked they had been discontinued. I absolutely love these Origami shelves. No assembly required. They are beautiful and I would purchase again. ******************************************************* Love it. This so-called steel storage rack (Origami) works beautifully in my bedroom. It is being used as a small bookcase for a collection of heavy, leather bound art books which feature the biographies and works of various painters. To my surprise, the two lower shelves held all of the books. The top shelf holds a large coffee table book on Mary Cassat, an American impressionist. The only thing I had to attach to the shelf were the wheels, which was really nothing to do (a tool was included too). I did not need bookends (I juxtaposed a couple of the books at the four ends of the lower shelves instead). The shelf blends in nicely with my eclectic pieces of transitional furniture, which include a bronze colored metal, marble, iron, cotton, and wood, including a vintage telephone and a large, framed contemporary print. I had planned on purchasing another case but did not need to. This shelf, although holding some weight now, is well made and does not appear that it will falter in any respect.     • Love this storage unit, no assembly required except to screw on the wheels
I love this storage unit for many reasons. First, no assembly is required. The wheels can each be screwed into the bottom legs. It is easy to do with or without the little tool that is provided. It takes a moment or two to figure-out how to swing it into an upright position after unpacking; it was packed well and had no signs of damage. Second, I like the fact that this item could be used either as a trolley or as a storage unit. I have thought about using it to take groceries from the trunk of my car, parked in the garage, into the kitchen. The only problem that I would encounter, and this is true of all trolleys, is that there is a small step up from the parking area in the garage onto the laundry area and then into the kitchen. If loaded with several cases of water, for example, the trolley would be hard to lift up. For light loads, though, it would be simple to use and lift. Finally, it rolls easily from room to room and is useful as a storage unit just as the video shows. Currently, I am using it as a modified potter's bench in the garage and have stored all of the empty plastic pots, gardening tools, stakes (inserted vertically down through the mesh openings on each shelf and thereby standing up neatly), and small gardening supplies on the storage unit. All of those items (twine, plant food spikes, nozzles to hoses, etc.) are now easy to see and easy to find. I would not describe this storage unit as heavy duty. It is not flimsy, but I did not store bags of garden soil on the storage unit, for example, because it just seems as if the shelving would eventually begin to droop under the weight. Since it can be folded up, it is an ideal storage unit for any size home or room. Most importantly, it does not need any assembly other than to screw-on the wheels; there is no anxiety that it might be missing pre-drilled holes or might have parts that don't fit properly, both of which are frequent problems when you order storage units, carts, TV stands, etc., needing assembly. ... show more

I bought a set of these folding shelves about a year ago and they work as advertised. The shelves are sturdy, yet easily fold up when needed.

I absolutely LOVE this Origami shelf. It is more expensive than some others of similar size, but it is worth every penny. I bought a less expensive one and after assembling it I found it was not very sturdy at all. I was using it as a pantry shelf that I could pull out of the closet when I needed something behind it. Even with lighter items on it, it felt like it would break and it wracked badly. I had my husband put boards across the back to make it more sturdy. This shelf has no such problems! It is super sturdy, easy to move and takes less than a minute to have ready to use, out of the box. I would much rather pay the price and have something I can use and rely on. Not the size stated in the measurements. Smaller than width and depth of shelves. It is 29 inches wide, not the stated width of 38 inches. Depth of shelving is 11 inches rather than 13. Height (without wheels on) is 35 1/2 inches (post height), and 34 1/4 inches if you go by the top of the shelf itself. It is amazingly easy to set up and very sturdy, and with wheels very portable. I will manage using it, but wish it was bigger. I gave it only 4 stars because of the discrepency in size. ... show more
