  • Perfect for recent trip to Europe
Color: Type E/F - Germany/France (Schuko) Size: 2 Pack
These worked perfectly for a recent trip to Europe. I had read that one of the countries we were visiting could use different types of plugs than the ones that came with the voltage converters I purchased. These were great for one of the hotels. Very glad I had them!

  • Versatile Travel Adapter
Color: Type I - Australia/China Size: 4 Pack
These power plug adapters have been incredibly useful. The 2-in-1 design with a USA grounded outlet and universal socket offers versatility, allowing me to charge multiple devices simultaneously. The Type I compatibility ensures that the adapters work seamlessly in countries like Fiji and Argentina as well. With a pack of four adapters, I always have extras on hand for various devices and travel companions. Overall, these adapters have simplified my international travels and provided peace of mind. ... show more

  • Type G for UK/Ireland works great, Type C for Continental Europe not so great
Color: Black Size: 4 Pack
Purchased the Type G (UK/Ireland/Hong Kong) version a number of years ago for a trip to Ireland. Really sturdy, worked great, have been using them for 3-4 years now, without fault. Very solid, stay in the 3-pin socket REALLY WELL, zero complaints. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. Purchased the Type C (Continental Europe) version this year for a trip to Switzerland/Austria. Unfortunately, this version does NOT work so well, for a couple of reasons... [1] the adapter has a main body, from which a smaller sub-body sticks out, and that smaller sub-body has two pins. the problem I ran into with 90% of the outlets in Switz/Austria/Germany is that the sub-body is not deep enough for the majority of continental electrical outlets, which means the electrical pins do not go deep enough into the holes in the outlets for them to get a solid enough grip or "purchase" on the outlet. this meant that the adapter felt very loose, and when you plugged a phone/tablet USB charger into the adapter, it would more than likely pull the adapter out of the socket far enough to either disconnect or fall out completely. I measured the depth of a number of the outlets, and compared that to the adapter, and the sub-body would need to be at least 3-5mm deeper to give the electrical prongs enough depth to hold steady in the outlets [2] in Switzerland, many buildings have combination 3-in-1 outlet sockets which conserve space and allow for more devices to be plugged in. however, the blocky shape of this adapter will only allow 1 adapter to be used in this type of outlet, and it may block the ability to insert other plugs into the outlet at the same time. As a result, I can't recommend the Type-C adapter for Continental Europe, and would suggest you look on Amazon for adapters that don't have a block body (something more like this https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09T1FYBM4 instead) ... show more

  • Traveling? You Might Need This
Color: Type G - UK/Hong Kong Size: 2 Pack
If I had the EU model of this adaptor in May when in Italy, it would have solved an annoying problem. There was exactly on plug at the bedside in the hotel and it was used for the lamp. To charge anything, the lamp had to be unplugged! This adaptor series allows a pass through to to continue using the existing plug and then plug a US device into the top plug. Lamp still on - devices charging! Problem solved. ... show more

  • They are perfect for converting American type plugs for use with the ...
Color: Type L - Italy Size: 4 Pack
I'm writing this review while I'm in Italy using the adapters. They are perfect for converting American type plugs for use with the Italian electrical system. Each adapter can handle two plugs, but only one with a grounding pin. For me this works fine as the plug for my MacBook Pro is a three-pin plug and the charger for my iPhone doesn't require a ground. I'd offer only one small piece of advice. First, and most important, these adapters do not convert 220v to 110v. Some appliances will not work correctly at 220v, like the hair clipper I brought along. Most computer and phone adapters will automatically convert 110v to 220v and visa versa, so no worry charging your electronics, or at least Apple products. The second thing is that these adapters require a 3-prong Italian plug, which is what you'll find most of the time. Occasionally you'll come across a two-prong plug (no ground) and these adapters won't fit. If you need a Type L adapter, these are a great product at a great price! ... show more

  • Separated in two whilst trying to unplug - highly dangerous.
Color: Type M - South Africa Size: 2 Pack
This review is for the "OREI 2 in 1 USA to South Africa Adapter Plug (Type M)". I'm in Johannesburg now on a work trip and I just tried to remove it from the wall (for the first time since buying it). It separated in two, leaving the metal prongs still fully in the electrical socket and internal metal electrical connectors exposed in a highly dangerous manner. Fortunately the electrical socket I was using was switched - there are sockets here which are not switched and are always live. If you live in the USA, bear in mind that the 220V used here in South Africa (or indeed in Europe for equivalent adaptors) is far more dangerous than your 110/115V. The amount of force I used was so low that the metal prongs did not even move from the socket - the unit separated before that could happen. Looking at the internal construction, the only things holding the adaptor together are 3 plastic clips. These didn't even break during the separation - a light force simply defeated them. Furthermore the nature of the design is such that in the event of this happening, the live (if the switch is on) metal connectors are exposed in a way that is very easy to touch, and which makes it very difficult to remove the failed adaptor safely if it is in an "always on" socket. This purchase was a set of 2 adaptors and the other one has not failed. Having experienced the above, I feel that the design of the product is so poor that I will bin the other one and look for something more robust (prefereably held together using screws or similar). I accept that manufactured products can fail from time to time, but it is not acceptable for this to result in as dangerous situation as I experienced here. (I took various photos of the broken adaptor but the new format reviews page does not seem to allow me to add them.) ... show more
